"Really [member name removed]. We were called to this home because rusty water was leaking out of an AC air handler in the attic and dripping into the secondary drain pan below. This was not an emergency and had been leaking for a very long time. The secondary drain pans job is a backup, so water will never get to the living space below when the air handler rusts out after years of use. When air handlers get very old they begin to leak rusty condensate out all around the base because they are old and they have done their job for 20-30 yrs. Now I guess you could silicone or putty up anything long enough to get through a closing but at the end of the day you still need to replace the old rusted out air handler. We were called by [member name removed]. We made an appt. with her. We did call before we came out to the home. We did arrive on time. We did find the problem. We did produce a NO charge estimate to solve the problem. We did leave the home in the condition we found it. We did NOT charge [member name removed] one penny for our time, to travel, to diagnose or to estimate. We did not do the fast and cheap seal ‘em up, patch ‘em up, glue ‘em up job she was looking for. Why? Because that is not what we do. Never did. Even though the system was still running the air handler could not handle the condensate waste water produced and had rusted out the pan. Not uncommon in air handlers. So a free diagnosis, a free estimate was given to a woman who had no intention of fixing the problem. Just sealing it up long enough to close. Glue it, patch it, seal it for now, is not the kind of work I do. I mean we did not charge her any money, nothing and she goes online and well, you read it for yourself. I hope she sells her home to a nice family because you just can’t have enough nice people around you."
Had a terrible experience with this company, replacing a laundry sink that left us with tons of water damage and ruined, irreplaceable items. Shockingly, they then wanted to charge us to fix the problem they created--and the price was even more ridiculous. The owner of the company was rude and completely out of line. He could have fixed the problem and made it better but instead decided to act inappropriately and blame others to claim it was not his or his unskilled technician's problem. The most unprofessional and terrible provider I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
"The leak this customer is speaking of was due to someone else putting a nail into a copper pipe behind the wall. It was in no way related to our work. We opened the wall nearby and were able to show the homeowner the nail coming through the sheet rock into a copper pipe. We even took pictures and sent them to her. We explained that we do not use nails in plumbing and her leak was not related to the properly installed laundry sink. She wanted us to take responsibility for someone else's mistake. We explained that we stand behind our work and if it was related to the sink install it would have been rectified but because it was because someone else put a nail through her wall and into a pipe it had nothing to do with us at all. We did provide a free estimate to repair the hole made by the nail but the customer did not want it done. We guarantee all of our work."
They did a very good job. I waited until the last minute but they were still able to schedule me pretty quickly. They came out a couple of times before they did the work so they could look over the old system and make sure the boiler was sized right. The supplier dropped off the boiler and they brought about six guys so everything went off on schedule. When they piped the boiler they did it the old fashioned way, whereas other companies wanted to do copper piping. They were definitely more expensive but I thought they did the job the right way.
