Up Right Renovations

George Evans of Upright Renovations recently completed a condo renovation for me - it was NOT a positive experience. The end result looks fine but the process was extremely frustrating. George continuously made misrepresentations about timing (gross delays, even by contractor’s standards), and work to be performed. A number of important elements needed to be redone (e.g., wrong type/color of paint and grout), because he did not follow specific written and verbal instructions. Time management, details and staying focused on the completion of tasks are not strong skill sets for him. He persistently gave excuses and blamed others (subcontractors) for delays and errors; after a point, he lost credibility. He did not clean up his work area on a daily basis, resulting in complaints from Condo Management. I ended up accepting some of his mistakes and changing the original design, just to get the job done and get George out of my house. I cannot recommend him.
