It went horribly. The owner, Ron Denig, can be very charming and attentive while he is SELLING his services, but then he disappears. All communication with the customer, once you sign your contract, is irritatingly via text messages when HE chooses to contact you. You call, he doesn't answer, and sometime later he sends you a text. This hide-and-seek routive persists throughout the service's execution. He never picks the phone up, UNLESS you call from a number you hadn't previously used, which indicates his deliberate practice of avoiding customers who have fallen in his trap.
The company's office is very efficient to send you a contract and collect the first payment, but then they also go into radio silence. You call asking to talk to Ron or whomever is in charge, and they never get back to you.
To be fair with the construction crew, they were a group of competent, experienced folks. But even they couldn't stand their boss. They kept complaining about his incompetence and  how badly he handled projects and clients.
I had never seen such a lack of professionalism. All deadlines were missed, not by a few days, but by months. The deck had phenomenal execution errors and, funnily, when materials were occasionally damaged by badly handling them, they wanted US to purchase the replacements. At one point, a Monday morning, I had agreed with the crew I would work from home to assist them with questions they might have. Yet, they didn't show up. By 10am I called the office, and no one was available to explain what was happening. They returned only the following Wednesday, simply saying "ah, Ron sent us to another client". And, of course, no one called to prepare us for that, the office couldn't explain what was going on, and Ron wasn't even answering text messages.
At that point, Ithreatened  with legal action, the project was already two months behind schedule and it was impossible to have a meaningful conversation with Ron to work out a plan to finalize their service. Additionally, we had enough e-mails and texts to file a formal complaint. Then, minutes after my e-mail, Ron finally called and we could discuss the final steps to conclude their work.
Too bad there is no institution out there to revoke the operational licenses of some firms because of their deep incompetence and bad faith. Dreamstar would be a strong candidate for such a ban. So, my recommendation is: never even consider hiring these guys for anything.

I had gotten the services of DreamStar construction under the condition that they would come out and build a deck within the time frame agreed. I was hosting a wedding in my back yard. Once a scheduling agreement was made, I gave the contractor the money up front and he said he would come do the work. I took a day off work, on the scheduled day to attend to the matters. He never showed. I gave him a second chance. He said he would come by and finish the project before the wedding. They PROMISED they would come and have the deck done. Still a no show. After weeks of back and forth non sense, the wedding came and went yet they still had not installed the deck. I have asked them repeatedly for the money back to no avail. They are still in debt to me for the money they took and for the work that was not done. I plan to take them to court if he does not return my money.
