Hortensia Cleaning Service LLC

I want to recommend Hortensia Cleaning Service because they have been cleaning my mothers home for the past 9 years. They have always been very professional and in fact I have started to use them to clean my own apartment now. Even though the pandemic is still currently in effect, they still manage to do a good job of wearing a masks and gloves throughout their entire time here.

today was my second day using hortensia cleaning service. The two ladies that came today did an amazing job I would definitely hire them again. They were very thorough cleaning both my bathrooms my kitchen, dining room, living room, and two bedrooms.

Went well. Overall very good.

Cleaned house several times. Over those times there were different issues. Once a figurine was broken. Another time waste baskets not emptied. Another time floor under kitchen table not cleaned. There were times they were late and times they rescheduled. The final straw was when they didn’t show for a cleaning on the day of my daughters prom with 20 people coming over. I would not recommend.

I had used Hortensia Cleaning service for almost 5 years. Over the past 6 months their quality of service has rapidly declined. I think their management has changed. They would text 5 minutes before a scheduled appointment to say they were running behind and would need to reschedule. When they did come they were at last an hour or more late. Their service was below average at best. They cut many corners and did not do a thorough cleaning. I did let them know that I was getting frustrated with their punctuality, but it never improved. Eventually I moved on and found a new cleaning service that has been amazing.

I’ve used this service 6-8 times. Cleaning, communication and promptness - not consistent. Last cleaning before Christmas was the worst. Eg: wiped part of the top of furniture pieces, but didn’t do the drawers or bottom molding on dressers or legs of furniture. They forgot to clean some of the floors. Ironically I booked a deep cleaning for $199 ( usually book reg for $150) and they took longer than usual so charged me $250.

Their service has gone downhill over the 2nd half of 2018. They don't show up on time and they dont call to let you know what time they might actually think about showing up. They used to spend more time on my home but they started cutting corners. The last time they came i dont even think they did the floor. They used to do a great job and be on time or early. Its disappointing.

We reached out to Hortensia when our regular cleaning person became ill for an extended period of time and we needed some help before the Thanksgiving holiday. There were a couple of hiccups with scheduling, I'm sure due to the busy holiday prep week. But they were very quick to communicate the scheduling issues and were good about working with us. And once they got there, they were absolutely wonderful. They did an amazing job. Our regular cleaning person is back with us again, but we would use Hortensia as a back up any time.

Hired their services for a pre-move cleaning. Two ladies showed up on time and did a very thorough job. Was very happy with the service and look forward to hiring them again in the future.

I needed a deep cleaning of my house. Janet, from Hortensia, came to the house to review what I wanted done. After meeting Janet and speaking with her I was comfortable, for the first time, with having people in my house while I was at work. I did not want my cat in the house while this deep cleaning was being done and Janet worked with me on the schedule so I could arrange for the cat to be at the Vet for the day. I left a dirty house in the morning and came back to a clean, fresh house at night. I was very happy with their work and plan to do twice a month house cleaning for the future. I would recommend them without reservation.

Great work, very detailed cleaning, have hired multiple times over the past 4 years. Their cleaning crew is very professional and cleaned the house top to bottom.

I wouldn’t recommend this company as it’s impossible to schedule a cleaning with their dispatcher. They’ve cancelled on me so many times and showed up at my house when I didn’t even schedule them. Completely unprofessional.

Blanca and Roxanne arrived early (I was told around 2pm and they arrived at 1:30pm) and spent 3 hours thoroughly cleaning my townhouse. I was very impressed, especially by their work on the kitchen stove, microwave, and bathrooms, which had not been cleaned properly in quite a long time. I appreciated the fact that they asked me to review their work before moving on to the next phase. They were very hard working and responded promptly to my request to use a special polish on the stainless steel refrigerator and to give special attention to the bathtub and shower. I thought $200 was a bit pricey compared to other services in the area, but used them because of all the excellent reviews here. All in all, it was worth it.

I've been using Hortensia and Team for many years now. I find them always courteous, respectful, transparent, and professional. By this time, I've likely had each member of the team too! Teresa, Emily, Shirley, Sandra, Hugo, Yudelka, Marilyn, Gabriella, Marcella, Maria P, Maria R, Roxana,Blana, Erma, Lucrecia, Iris, and probably others that I'd love to mention here. I would certainly recommend their services!

A three person team was on time and very professional. They completed everything I requested. I would hire them again

Hortensia has been cleaning our home for over a year. At the time we hired them, we had also contracted other services in the area. Hortensia was the most expensive but by far the best. The quality of the service varies based on the individuals who arrive for each session. They are usually but not always on time. Our latest cleaning was top-notch - the house was clean and the part of me that stresses out when the house is out of shape was totally at ease. Thank you Hortensia!

Although they showed up late, Shirley, Roxanne, and Blanca did a wonderful job.

I hired them for their high ratings, even though they are bit pricey.I was asked for number of bedrooms and was given a quote for 3 hours of work by 2 maids , however when the 2 cleaners came, they had finished only one level of the house in 3 hours and I was asked to pay extra for the next hour to complete rest of the house which was not discussed. Overall cleaning quality is good. Windows were cleaned well.Garbage bags were not put back would be my only issue.

Usually 2 people come to clean. They bring their own cleaning products (incl. bucket & mop). The ladies are always cheerful, hardworking, and thorough.

The first time I had Maria, Irma and David come out. They did an excellent job and were very thorough when cleaning my house. It hadn't had a good cleaning or dusting in ages and when they left I felt a huge stress lifted as my house was so clean. They were very nice as well. I was very happy with them and the work they did. I will be using them weekly for at least the next 11 weeks. Maria was sent again for today's cleaning and I hope she continues to come for the other times they send someone out as she is the best and such a friendly woman!

I cannot say enough about Hortensia. I called well in advance to make an appointment, and despite 8" of snow the night before, they still arrived within 5 minutes of the appointment time. We had arranged for three people for two hours. I was quoted $180 for this which is less than what is shown on the website. We had not had our house professionally cleaned in quite some time, and I told the office that we would be willing to pay for more time. They did stay for three hours in the end and we were told it would be $65 for the extra hour which was fine. As for the service, we are more than happy. Everything is very clean, and they did things we did not expect like clean the inside of our windows. We were unable to remove some things, but they moved things and cleaned under and replaced the items where they were. We had put some items on bed to clear up surfaces, and they actually took those items off beds, made the beds and then put them back. Everything looks beautiful. They even made beautiful roses out of the tissues on the top of our tissue boxes. Nice touch! I would absolutely recommend this service for anyone looking for professional house cleaning.
