Their work is top notch and they always come in on budget. They are honest and extremely detailed oriented. Because of this their time is difficult to get, but they are worth the wait.

Despite no Angie's List review for this contractor, we engaged Bouda Contracting due to a great recommendation from friends whose opinion we value. We were NOT disappointed! They deserve whatever business a Angie's List positive Angie's List review will bring them. We are already asking for additional estimates on projects.
Stefan (and his twin brother Nick) either perform or supervise all work. They are experienced and skilled craftsmen and can perform pretty much all home remodeling tasks. They do subcontract with electricians and plumbers for complicated tasks...but performed much of the electric and plumbing required on this job themselves. The vendors they suggested for materials, fixtures, etc. were all reliable and professional. Even among the vendors they referred, they gave us pointers on who was the most reasonable (price) vendor for what we needed. They will hold your hand throughout the project...and even insist on being present during town building inspections. The labor (plus shower stall base) was $8500. With materials/fixtures (purchased by us) the full cost of the project was $13,300.
PLEASE NOTE: Their method for estimates is somewhat unusual. Instead of a line by line estimate of labor and materials, they give you a single figure...with and quot;allowancesand quot; for hardware, fixtures, etc. You have the option of letting them purchase items...or purchasing them yourselves. Had I not had such a positive reference from my friends regarding their practices, work and prices, this estimate method would have given me some pause in using them. Please don't let this method deter you from considering them to perform your work. Steve and Nick picked up the fixtures and materials (vanities, toilets, sinks, etc) and delivered them to our house...saving us hundreds of dollars in delivery charges. They dispose and remove all materials (included in estimate costs)..and take great care to prevent damage while working. So putting up with an unorthodox estimate method is not such a hard to do when you get these extras..
Our house was built in 1970 and sports the tile color and fixture selection of that era for the bathrooms. We decided on a complete remodeling for the master bath...and a partial remodeling of the larger bathroom. Steve (Stefan) said both projects would take 1.5 weeks. That was overly optimistic. For a number of reasons, it took nearly a full month; but it certainly wasn't for a lack of effort. Steve and Nick do NOT take lunch breaks and when they work...they get down to business. Their work and quot;dayand quot; was approximately 9am - 3pm. They offered some good suggestions, but are also very open and flexible to what you want. In most cases, they will make it happen. However, in our case, some of the items/features we had hoped for were made impossible by house structural issues that were not evident during the estimate. Even then, they could have implemented most of them...but the cost/labor was prohibitive and we decided against them. Those and quot;structural issuesand quot; resulted in some design and material changes that were taken completely in stride by Steve and Nick.
We would recommend Bouda Contracting without hesitation or reservation.

They did everything properly up front: giving us diagramed options to choose from and filed all permits. They made a lot of great suggestions midstream which made the final product better. Demo work was quick; framing was done carefully. Workmanship was flawless. They did incredible work on the new drop ceiling, where they had cut each acoustic panel so it lay in the rare just right.
They were very easy to desk with on the money side. They hit their estimate to the cent.
