They made detailed description of the condition of the car (1997 Honda Civic with 230k miles) and made recommendations about which repairs would be worth doing, considering the mileage and condition of the car. Suggestions made a lot of sense. Printed explanation and description/recommendations were clear and convincing.
Service was friendly and on time.
Particularly liked their suggestion that fixing the minor oil leak would likely involve replacement of very expensive exhaust system components and that protecting my driveway from the drips would be more cost effective.

What a great experience. I surveyed a number of people in town about a good, trustworthy mechanic and just over a third of the 32 people who replied had recommended Justin at Bill's Ineffable Auto. And I can understand why. My car is only two years old and has just 6,200 miles on it, but I had been having a problem with the brakes squealing when I backed up. The dealer looked at it on three occasions and told me the brakes were fine, were exhibiting normal wear and tear, and that the squealing in the morning is normal. Over time it got progressively worse and it started happening throughout the day. It was so loud that it was embarrassing.
So I took the car to Justin. He and his team determined where the noise was coming from and that the problem was rust on the rotors. Justin called to let me know the findings and what the cost would be for the appropriate service. He said he was confident it would resolve the problem. It's been about three weeks now, and the brakes are so wonderfully quiet that I turn off the radio when I back up just to enjoy the silence! I was very happy with the whole experience and my husband and I will be taking our cars to Justin for service in the future.

They're a little on the high side pricewise but they're very thorough. I have an older car and they will give me a detailed printout of my car's specifics.

As a female, shop owner's eyes usually light up when I enter a facility, as in and quot;How much can I overcharge her...and quot; I walked into Justin Hopkin's shop about four years ago with a fleet of four personal vehicles. I have spent thousands of dollars with this company keeping my cars, some new, some very old, one custom street rod, running well. My children's cars are serviced here too, as are most of my friend's cars. I recommend these guys to everyone I know. Justin is courteous, professional, and always goes the extra mile for his customers. He communicates each vehicle's needs and explains to his customers what is being done, and why it's important. He ensures all his mechanics catalogue future issues and explains to his customers what is critical, what can wait, and what it will cost. In other words, he ensures you and your vehicle will operate safely for the long haul.
One of the things that really impressed me about this shop initially was that about a month after my first repair was done (on my son's car) Justin called to ensure that I was happy with the outcome and that the car was still running well. I'm not just a checkbook here, this guy actually cares about his customers. That's a nice thing to find in this world.
I've been a BIAR customer for four years and counting, and I hope they stay open forever, because they're NEVER losing my business! Oh, and the shop's mascot is pretty awesome too. :)

Careful diagnosis, and detailed documentation of the proposed repair, as well as excellent communication with the customer are hallmarks of this facility, as are remarkably fair prices. Work performed flawlessly

I have gone to Bill's for years; I expect to keep my 2005 Corolla running like new for years to come. Justin is very professional and courteous, and always takes time to explain what's been done - no dumbing down for female customers. He will recommend maintenance that needs to be done right away, and alert me of conditions that look like they will need attention in the next visit. He always calls with the estimate and there are no surprises when I come to pick up the car.

Replacing complicated door mechanisms never comes cheap, and I was happy to learn that the estimate was revised downward. Justin and his fellow mechanic at Bills was able to explain the problem thoroughly and demonstrate where the failure was occuring. We discussed several options for the repair, and settled on the appropriate fix. While I was upset about the cost of the repair, I was pleased with the level of detail and professionalism that Justin showed. In the end the repair came in under cost, and Justin gave me the old door assembly should we need to cannibalize other parts for use in the car in the future.

They are specialized in electrical problems. Their pricing is competitive. They are professional and responsive. The quality of their work is good and I have been very satisfied with their service.

I have been taking my car here for about 35 years. They are honest, dependable, and do what they say. Everything I have taken in they have been able to fix. They honor their guaranteed parts and that is why I have been going back.
