Before Provider skillfully skimmed the interior walls, he applied an oil-based primer to seal the wall-paper in order to prevent blistering. After carefully skimming and sanding the walls, Provider applied interior primer before applying the paint. All materials are quality ones. He used Benjamin Moore products. Thankfully, he covered my hardwood floors and furniture in order to protect it from dust (as he rarely drips paint). THe also left the area in broom-clean condition. The finished walls appear as if they were never papered. They are flat, very smooth and have excelllent coverage. The first time I used this provider was in 2005, and the last time was in 2013. I have never had a problem with his work. He is a perfectionist, and I have never sought the services of anyone but him to skim my wall-papered walls. Had I not employed his skim-coat services, I very likely would have had to tear out the drywall and replace it with new drywall, which everyone knows is a very dusty and labor-intensive job. However, most choose this option by default, as finding a dependable and highly skilled skim-coater is not an easy task. While his price may be higher than others, so is the quality of his workmanship and the products that are used. Lastly, Don is incredibly honest in his dealings and is easy to work with, which is always a plus. Perhaps this accounts for why he has been in business for decades.
