"First, we want to thank Ms. W for bringing this incident to our attention. After a thorough investigation, none of our receptionists could remember this particular phone call, however we do take this type of feedback very seriously. Obviously, we sincerely hope that none of our employees would knowingly respond to a report of an injured animal in the manner described. We can only hope that the receptionist was possibly preoccupied with another conversation occuring at the same time and failed to give this phone request the proper attention it deserved. We believe we have a very caring and sypathetic staff from receptionists to doctors. We hope that Ms. W's pet got the proper attention it deserved and all is well. We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding. The Doctors & Staff of The Village Veterinary Hospital"
