Ted Lips

The list of complaints is long. Foremost the work was shoddy. He left wads of joint compound flung around everywhere (including areas he wasn't working that were supposed to be kept clean). It was next to impossible just to get him to show up and do the work. The Standard practice seamed to be to show up mud half a room at a time. Then have to come back to mud the other half and wait again for that half to dry before moving forward to the next phase, thus drawing a 3 day project out over weeks. The "finished" product was left far from finished. Ted walked off the job claiming that everything was "sanded and ready to paint" leaving me to find gouges, completely unsanded bits, areas where the tape was still exposed and wads of mud everywhere as I went around painting myself. I then spent days repairing the work he failed to do because we couldn't get him to come back and clean up his own mess. On top of all that he was unprofessional, complaining to me, the homeowner, about money issues with the general contractor and showing up do work after dark.I could continue, but I imagine the point has been made. Whatever you do, don't let Ted Lips anywhere near your house or you might wind up like me finding bits of his mess hidden in every new corner, around the outlets and stuck to beams and baseboards.
