"Dear Member, I saw your Review on Angie’s List and wanted to reach out to you. We wanted you to know that we appreciate when our customers take the time to review us on social media. We are aware we could’ve done better in some areas. It was our intent to address these and rectify them as best as possible. However I just wanted to touch base with you and make sure the grade we received was what you had intended. However, due to the dissimilarity between the review and the grade, I just wanted to ensure how we were graded was what you intended. I only ask because you mentioned that we were very professional and very responsive but our grade was an “F” in both of these areas. Thank you very much for your time, Selena Rose"
High quality, energy efficient furnace was installed -- worked perfectly from the moment it was turned on.
As well, high efficiency air condidtioner installed (14 sheer rating).
Professional, polite and competent staff. Would highly recommend them.
Mike began his assessment of our needs by taking time to understand what we were looking for and evaluating our house for square footage and energy efficiency. After calculating a load assessment for our house, Mike returned with the load assessment and a few quotes for recommended systems, ranging in price and efficiency, as well as options for installation (location in garage, crawl space or closet). Of specific interest with the load calculation was the recommendation for a heater which was 80,000 BTU (vs our older 100,000 BTU unit) and a two stage air conditioner (3 ton/4 ton) vs our older 2 1/2 ton unit. I was reassured with this, since our old system was always fine for heating but the air conditioning couldn't handle hot days. Mike also addressed one part of our house always being hotter or colder than the rest of the house, but suggesting installation of a zoning system. During the next 2-3 weeks, Mike worked with me fine tuning the quote for the system we wanted. Mike was never pushy, something I appreciated, but he was always available to answer my questions. We went with a Bryant Evolution, high efficiency system, with electronic air cleaner and humidifier located in our garage (vs the crawl space).
Jim Hutinson and Mike Lee were the primary technicians leading the HVAC installation. There were others who also helped at various times with both installation and cleanup, as well as Selena the office installation coordinator. All personnel were very professional and courteous. Jim and Mike worked well as a team, both men knew their trade well, and quite frankly, both men busted their tails on some very hot days. They also did little things that made a difference, such as being aware of when our infant granddaughter was taking a nap, taking off their work boots to walk inside our house, minimizing the switch-over time between our old air conditioner running and the new one being set up and running on a very hot day, etc. Whether it was breaking through the concrete garage floor to tunnel to our crawl space, running electric or gas lines, taking out the old system, installing the new system, running new ductwork, programming the new control for WiFi, etc., I always felt they knew what they were doing and went the extra mile. Well, done men!
After installation, we had a two week heat wave. The Bryant Evolution system works like a charm. The temperature in all rooms are exactly the temperature set at the control to the degree. Our problem of having one side of the house either too hot or too cold has gone away. Both heater and air conditioner are much higher efficiency ratings than our old system, which together with the zoning should reduce our utility bills. And the system is very quiet compared to our older system.
Selina helped coordinate the township inspectors and both Selina and Mike followed up with us to make sure everything was working as planned. They also have helped with the processing of both Bryant and Government/Utility rebates, which we will be receiving (over $2,000 worth).
I went with Harriett's because of both my past experience with them and because of recommendations that we make sure we use a good installer, as well as buying good equipment. You can find a cheaper system and probably a cheaper installer, but with Harriett's you will get a fair price, with an installer who knows what they are doing and will not cut corners. Needless to say, I would recommend them.
