CHEM DRY EXPRESS

The tech showed up after calling in the morning to confirm. I thought the day was going to start out right...Boy was I wrong. When he got here, he measured all the furniture, and suddenly, with up-charges and "miscommunication" (we were apparently quoted the carpet discount for our upholstery cleaning) our $450-475 phone quote went up to $987. Almost $1000 to clean three sofas, a loveseat and a recliner!!! A phone call by the tech to the head office brought the quote back down. When I called originally, I told them I was interested in scotch guard but trying to get a full, real quote over the phone was extremely difficult, as they would "discuss that when the tech got there". Decided to go with the (somewhat lower) extremely high quote since he was here and there was suddenly a "trip charge" (which was never discussed on the phone) added in if we didn't go with them. Will not use again, ever- had far lower quotes over the phone, including scotch guard. Additionally, my mother was here watching my son, and luckily she pointed out that the tech didn't fully finish his job. There was still a bunch of dog hair and detritus on the couches, in between and under the cushions. She had to have him re-vacuum a set of couches. This is clearly a bait and switch factory- I would absolutely not recommend. High prices, extremely poor sales tactics, and less than 100% quality service. He was gone in an hour as well. $600/hour is more than the top-level lawyers in the country!
