We hired Ground Keeper, Inc. in December of 2020 and completed our install in 2021. Our yard is designer magazine quality! Jay asked us what we were looking for and we said private, cozy (wanting the outside to feel like another room) and that we wanted wildlife. We have all three and then some! He was very communicative about choices, trade-offs and budget. He would not take payment from us until all outstanding issues were resolved when he brought in others partners to do work. I can't say enough good things and I trust his judgement implicitly! We moved forward with a full garden design front and back yard, lighting and a bubbler water feature. We didn't just get a garden, we got an experience. It is a place we go to be quiet, entertain or just walk about. Beautiful work. Thank you Jay and Team!

Jay and his team transformed our front yard into a welcoming, seasonal, beautiful space. Taking into consideration our likes, lighting, surrounding environment (we have a park across the street with many deer who love to munch) Jay planned and worked on every aspect of creating this "masterpiece". In addition, he removed two large trees in our backyard, which had recently died. Jay provided much thought into how he could "recreate" the look, which had captured our hearts throughout the past 25 years....for that I am extremely grateful. We can't thank him enough for his professionalism, wealth of knowledge, and inspiration that he shared with us. We look forward to enjoying our home in the years to come and continuing our relationship with his company.

I cannot recommend Jay and the Grounds Keeper team highly enough. I wish I could give them 50 stars! From the beginning Jay was directly involved in EVERY aspect of our project: working with me to define my landscaping needs; working with Craig the landscape architect to define and map out our project; coordinating the various contractors to implement our project and keeping in touch daily throughout the process to monitor progress and to tweak the plan as needed. Jay is the consummate professional and you can tell that he really, really likes (loves!) what he does. Our project involved a comprehensive landscaping makeover for our 100+ year old summer home, with an emphasis on making the outdoor space more "livable" during the summer months when we are in residence. As developed, our plan included installing a driveway, pondless waterfalls, hardy low maintenance plantings, extensive patio, pergola and lighting. We decided to break it into 2 phases: front yard (phase 1) and back yard (phase 2). The front yard project has just been completed and all I can say is that I never EVER realized how beautiful my yard could be. I initially had not thought of including a waterfall, but I sure am glad that I did. It is the centerpiece! Our neighbors have made a point of stopping by to tell us how much they love our new landscaping! I am so excited to see what magic Jay will work on our backyard next spring and look forward to spending more time outside next summer really enjoying my yard to its fullest. Jay has made me fall in love with my old house all over again!

To the extent that we were seeking a naturalistic setting, one that would not appear contrived and inconsistent with the rural surroundings, we were fortunate to engage Grounds Keeper, whose founder, Jay, specializes in naturalistic settings. An encyclopedic knowledge base of plants, he also has a keen sense of aesthetic balance and understanding with respect to what will offer a setting consistent with the homeowner's goals. Project cost and timeline explained thoroughly; Jay was on sight during the entire process, always available to respond to questions or concerns. Staff is very courteous and respectful and once completed left the site absolutely immaculate. I would not hesitate to recommend Grounds Keeper to any one seeking that unique personal oasis!

I hired Grounds Keeper to landscape my backyard space. Jay was knowledgeable and easy to work with. Even though my yard is small, the transformation was significant and the end result is beautiful. Not only were bushes and plants added, but a water bubbler and lighting. I recommend Grounds Keeper without hesitation.

We are under contract with Groundskeeper, so we cannot rate the final or finished product yet. However, we can say all has been pleasant and easy to work with and he listened to our needs and wants in drawing up the plans for our backyard. Cannot wait to see the finished product

After Super Storm Sandy, not just houses were destroyed, but all of the landscape surrounding those homes, as well. I told Jay from Groundskeeper that I'd like a little rock garden in front of my home. He created a beautiful rock garden (covering the entire front of my property) and sculpted me a new back yard complete with new grass, a lovely assortment of trees and shrubs and flowers all of which are butterfly and bird friendly. Thank you for the incredible job and for giving me a place to relax and enjoy my morning coffee!

I hired Jay after reading reviews in this site. Our front yard was in desperate need of a makeover.Jay made a lot of suggestions and recommended trees/bushes that would look good in our space. The work was done the next day and our yard looks fantastic. We will definitely be hiring Jay for future projects.

The exterior of my house was in desperate need of a makeover. I found Jays information on Home Advisor. My vision for home was a place of Zen like feel where the outside of my home was an extension of the inside. What I had at the time was a look not dissimilar to an army Barack surrounded by some dirt and weeds. Jay responded to my request for a consult within a few days. He had a designer come to my home. They listened and the transformation began under Jay's supervision. He contracted with Mason's to redo my bluestone porch and carpenters to install custom columns. Meanwhile the gardens began in well planned areas throughout the front yard. Tall grasses were planted, butterfly bushes found homes, and a stone column fountain began its unending song. Now I have a home that feels happy and serene. My gardens have a life of there own. I frequently sit out on my porch when before I could not. I watch the tall grasses dance in the wind, butterflies flutter, birds bathe in the fountain. Colors abound and change with the seasons. I am starting to see the green turning a beautiful golden hue. Jay and his team were terrific to work with. Very professional. Very caring. And quick. I had weeds one day and a stunning front yard garden the next day. Jay's creativity is synergistic. His recommendations are spot on. I am very pleased with the work his did and I will use Grounds Keeper again, not only to take care of my garden when I am away, but also to plant a big tree in my back yard. I highly recommend Jay and Grounds Keeper.

From the very get go Jay and his team are extremely organized and punctual. All work was completed on schedule. There was constant communication. Estimates were drafted up almost instantaneously as the work progressed so there were never any extra expense surprises. Meticulous in approach, artistic in design and caring in details. Clearly not just a job, this is a vocation for Jay and his team.

Grounds Keepers replied promptly to our request and gave us a price. Two others came, but never gave me a price. Grounds Keeper did a fine job, Jay was knowledgeable and professional and his workers were friendly and did a neat job.

Quickly and professionally finished garden area and stone path. Explained types of plants for different areas of the yard. The staff doing the installation were very helpful and patient letting me pick the side of the stone that I wanted facing up on the path. When they finished the garden they cleaned everything up including the driveway. Can't wait to see it in the spring!
