Overall it was great. Michael was very professional I had gotten about 10 landscapers in to get estimates. About a 2 month time frame. Aside from pricing and a good initial conversation, one of the things that made me decide to go with him was that he brought a binder full of the work his company did. The before, after and timeline photos gave me a good grasp of the quality of the work. The followup  with Michael was great. The crew came in and did a good job. Communication with Rick (crew cheif) was very good during the project. They did the work in 3-4 days. They even layed some grass seed for the area where they spread the excess dirt from the patio. The only issue I had was getting the job started. Between the rain that we were getting, my vacation and a delay in getting the stone that we wanted cost use some time in the summer. I would definitely use them again as I have more of the pool area that I am contemplating in getting extended.

Garden state landscapes has done an excellent job of mowing our lawn, doing fall and spring clean ups as well. They are respectful of my property and consistently do excellent work. Mike Is very responsive and always happy to help with any requests. Highly recommended.

The water table on our property is particularly high. This problem was exacerbated by a poorly installed brick patio that actually pitched toward the house instead of away from the foundation. The workmanship was excellent, the patio and walkway look AMAZING! Mike Conrad came back with a crew in the spring to clean up some areas and re-seeded. Our lawn is growing in and looking great... no more huge puddles in the backyard and NO puddles against the house! Again, the workmanship was top-notch, areas that weren't part of the contract were spiffed up a bit too and Mike Conrad was knowledgeable and responsive to our questions and concerns. Pricey... but we were burned by a previous contractor who said he could take care of the patio. You definitely get what you're paying for with Garden State Landscapes. Huge thumbs up!

I was impressed by the level of professionalism, the owner Michael Conrad was prompt in returning my phone call to schedule an estimate and was out to look at the project within days.  After having many landscape/hardscape companies (most were obtained from Angies List) for estimates, Mr. Conrad made several design suggestions for the walkway and showed photos so we could envision what he was suggesting.  We were 100% satisfied with the job and will use them again in the future.

All the work was done professionally and completed in one day. Workers arrived early in the day and when finished cleaned up and removed all debris and left the area very clean. Will defintely use this company for any future work..

They are dependable and come when they are supposed to.

Team was here very early in the morning to break up the cement walk. We were astonished at the speed of the demolition and cleanliness. All cement was broken up within an hour and it was a lot of cement. It was removed immediately from the premises and the crew started prepping the walkway right away. They consulted me on how I wanted the design of the pavers and did exactly what we asked for and more. The job was completed in one day. Michael came back afterwards to check the job and ask us for our feedback. He told us if we needed anything to just call him. He came back for something else months later and noticed the sand between the pavers sort of decreased because we had so much rain. Came back and had the crew do it again for us at no cost. A few years later, we noticed the lawn mower had moved and slightly cracked a paver from repeated abuse to the stone by riding over it while cutting. He had the crew come back and realign and replace at no cost again. Great company, great team.

We used Michael. We have not dealt with such an honorable person in a long time. A couple of the blue stones were scuffed. He came out to change them right away. One of the trees started browning at the bottom. He said if it did not improve he would replace it. He is very much into helping you find what you want coupled with his knowledge of what will work. He was open to our ideas. We have a deer issue here. They planted plants that are deer resistant. Their follow through is also astounding. They came out to show us how to operate our irrigation system this spring.
