"I'm writing today in response to this negative review. In May of 2012 we completed a roof replacement at [member address removed]. On 5/15/13 the owner of the company, Brian Genovese, reported to the residence to look at the customers heater pipe as it was leaking as reported by the homeowner. During the roof replacement the pipe wasn't a part of the scope of work. Nonetheless, Mr. Genovese, sealed the pipe out of courtesy for the customer. On 9/24/13 Mr. Genovese returned to the residence to check out another reported leak. It was determined the source of the problem was a window over the garage. Mr. Genovese decided he would reflash wall on garage just to be on the safe side. There were no stains on the decking from underneath. On 11/15/13 Mr. Genovese returned to the property to complete the repair, however, the customers son informed him that they believed the leak was definitely coming from the window, and that the repair was not necessary. Apparently the customers son ran the hose in the area of the window which confirmed where the source of the leak was coming from. At that point a repair from Mr. Genovese wasn't necessary as the roof replacement didn't cause the leak. On 12/12/13 Mr. Genovese spoke to the customer via telephone to discuss the leak. Mr. Genovese informed, [member name removed], that her son identified the source of the leak being the window which is what he thought all along. [member name remove] said that there must have been a miscommunication with her and her son. At that point, [member name removed], informed, Mr. Genovese, that she hired another contractor to complete the repair. In Genovese Contracting's professional opinion the window was the source of the leak, not the roof. Mr. Genovese made several attempts to figure out exactly what the source of the problem really was. In the end it was determined the window was the issue. We are writing today to inform Angie's List that this situation was addressed on several occasions. Genovese has an excellent reputation with their customers, and we strive to make them happy. Our customers are always welcome to call the office to have any issues/questions addressed at any time. We're a family business, and wish to maintain our integrity for our customers. Hope Martin Genovese Roofing and Siding"
