ACTION PLUMBING INC

Action Plumbing replaced our disposal (a $450 job) and 4 months after it was installed, a blade broke off while we were disposing vegetables.  We had not put any hard items down the sink and the plumber they sent out said it looked like the disposal was defective.  Since the disposal was only 4 months old and we had not misused it, we expected Action Plumbing to stand behind their work and replace the defective disposal with a new one, but they refused to do so.  They said the best they would do for us is offer us $50 off a new installation and they could send the defective disposal back to the manufacturer to see if they would warranty it.
Despite arguing with them, they would not relent and did not seem to care when I told them I planned to warn others about their business practices on the internet.
I would not recommend using this company.

Used coupon from Angie's List site for $20 - otherwise price would have been $20 plus tax higher.
Waited 4 days for appointment - called Thursday late morning; 1st available was Monday between 8:30-11AM. Showed at 8:30AM. That was about all the good I can say. $45 fee for LOOKING at the job due if they did not get the work.
Polite service person. Looked at job and quoted a price. Did the job, got drain line open to clear standing water, but claimed he could NOT clear the line with the "most" powerful line cleaning machine made. Same size machine YOU can rent at home improvement store.
Suggested NEXT thing should be "the camera line inspection" for either $295 or $395. That would show what is in the line. But in his experience, he believes with the age of the sewer line (21 year old sewer line about 35 feet long from house to city cleanout connections) that the black ABS pipe was either broken or separated. Recommended that I dig up and repair the line starting at $1800 plue tax. Backhole needed.
Said I would think about it as property is empty. Asked him what I owed him and I said I had a $20 coupon from Angie's List. Now the price is $80 HIGHER. Told him that was NOT the price he quoted and he inisted I WAS MISTAKEN. AS I did not have it in writing and did not have a 2nd person who withnessed offer, I was stuck paying more.
Then he writes up the invoice and askes me to sign in 2 places. First place is the BOXED area on his form, saying that he had permission to GO AHEAD and do the work at the QUOTED RATE. WAIT!!! This is where I was supposed to sign and agree to his offered price ==> the form he did NOT fill out before he did the work. I BOLDLY print, "N/A as this was not done before he did the work" and did NOT sign it.  I  sign 2nd and lower part of form, saying he did the work. I paid him WHAT he modified his original verbal offer to the higher price.
I will never use these people again.
Get it totally in writing from any of these "can't quote the job til we inspect sewer" people.  Every person I called quoted at SHOW up  and look price. He quoted his "STANDARD LINE CLEAN CHARGE of $119.95" as soon as he arrived and looked at the very short distance from house to city cleanout. What a crock of crap --- that is my final word on Action Plumbling! 
I will get a written quote ALWAYS in the FUTURE from any service person FIRST.

The project went fine and the man was very nice.  They were very curteous and business-like and came out when they said they would come out in a very timely fashion and did a good job explaining everything.

I discovered the plugged sewer line on Sunday, but learned that if I waited until Monday, the repair work would cost about $100 less. When I spoke with their answering service on Sunday, they said that I could expect someone to show up in the 8-11 AM window. However, when I called to confirm on Monday, they didn't have my request in the system, so they put me in for the 11 AM - 2 PM window, but the technician didn't show up until 3 PM and I had to call to learn that he was running behind schedule. He was professional and friendly, and he also came into the basement to tighten a pipe cap after he cleared the sewer. He charged me a different price (about $50 more) than I'd expected, but since I didn't have a written quote, I didn't press it. He did encourage me to find a coupon (on their website), which saved me a little. All-in-all, he got the job done, but I'm going to do a little more calling around before I bring them back.

Web site service request didn't go through so I had to call, but since this allowed me to confirm we could be set up as the first call the next morning (we had to leave for a dental appointment by 10:30), that worked out well. Phone rep was friendly and efficient, and said they would call when the truck was en route, which came as promised. Plumber was also friendly and efficient, completed the work with plenty of time to spare, and also provided information about some options for a permanent solution short of trenching and rerouting the entire sewer line.

They really did a good job of fixing my plumbing problems. I liked that they gave me a scheduled time that they would arrive and they stuck to it. They also have flexible hours and they are located close to my home.

Needed new kitchen faucet and to replace original poor quality stainless kitchen sink. They checked this job out for me by request when they were doing the other jobs. Measurements of sink and if any replumbing needed. I purchased my own faucet and asked for them to order a certain sink to reduce major replumbing (major cost). So the custom sink, installation, reinstall existing disposal, a little replumbing, with a year warranty was included. The faucet I got has it's own warranty.

THIS COMPANY WAS PRETTY GOOD. THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS THAT OCCURRED. THE COMPANY WAS PRETTY PROMPT. THEY CAME AND STARTED WORK WITHIN AN HOUR. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.

THE PLUMBER WAS ON TIME AND VERY WELL MANNERED. HE CORRECTLY MADE A HOLE IN THE 1ST FLOOR CEILING TO AID IN DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM. UNFORTUNATELY, HE DIDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM. HIS TESTING FOR THE LEAK WAS INCOMPLETE, RESULTING IN THE REPAIR OF TWO TOILET SEALS INSTEAD OF FINDING A LEAK IN THE SHOWER STALL. $5 OF CAULK FIXED THE PROBLEM.

THEY WERE ABLE TO FIX THE BRACKET AND INSTALL NEW PLUMBING IN THE BATHROOM SINK AND THAT FIXED IT AND THEREFORE, DID NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED AS I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT. THEY SHOW UP WITHIN THE WINDOW THEY GIVE. THEY CALL BEFORE THEY COME. THEY ARE VERY, VERY GREAT. THEY DIDN'T TRY TO PUSH ME TO BUY THE SINK, BECAUSE IT WAS TOO BIG. THEY ARE NOT PUSHY AT ALL. THEY WILL GIVE OPINIONS ONLY WHEN YOU ASK FOR IT. THE ONLY WAY IT COULD BE BETTER IS IF THEY WERE FEMALES IN BIKINIS. THE PRICE GIVEN IS FOR THE SINK THAT I EXPLAINED IN THESE COMMENTS.
