This was a very negative experience for me.  When I agreed to the work, we set up a date for work.  Two days before this date, I had not heard from them to firm up anything.  I called them and Mike said that they would be here on 8/22 to begin the work, between 8-10am.  The night before they were to begin, I got a call from Mike asking ME to measure the spindles as he could not locate the paperwork!  He also said that he doubted he could replace the spindles with the same style.  Wish he would have told this to me before hand.  They arrived after the agreed upon time (but only by a few minutes).  They began the work and did not put any drop clothes down or any dust plastic.  When I asked them to please do so, they said that there would not be any dust!  I said to please do it anyway and they did.  When they were painting the spindles and working upstairs where there is a rug, they had no drop cloth down.  When I asked them to please put down a drop cloth on the rug, they said "I don't drip."  I made sure a drop cloth was put down  When we had originally agreed to do the job Mike quoted me a price of $395 to paint the baseboard sides and risers.  The night before the painting  was  to be completed, Mike said the price was going to be $650.  When I reminded him that the price was quoted as $395 he said he could not recall making that deal and offered to "Lets split the difference."  I said fine.  When the final bill came, it was still $650.  When I questioned him on this he said "I never said lets split the difference."  The areas were not vacuumed after the work was completed.  The garbage was not brought to the curb.  The painting (that I spent $650 on) was so poorly done that I had to hire another painter to come and redo some of it.  The paint drops on the stairs cannot be fixed without further sanding.    The bannisters were poorly sanded and there are areas that were not done correctly.  The work was so shoddy!  I would absolutely avoid doing business with this company.  When I called Mike to complain, he never even had the decency to return my call.
