This place is great. They make time for emergencies, are terrific on routine exams. You are never rushed, the vet takes the time to know you and your pets. He explains everything in detail. They are not cheap, but more often than not with us, he has recommended a lower cost alternative to a higher cost procedure. Have been going here for 25+ years. Very common for the vet to call a few days after a visit and check on progress. Practical and ethical, with an affection for animals. Great staff! Can't say enough good things about them.

The vet is very caring about the animals, and the staff is as well, that is why we like going there. We have been going to him for probably 25 years. He is probably more expensive than other places.

They’re very friendly and very nice.  Their price is fair.  It’s about $20 may be to go in there.  Their quality is very good.  I will definitely use them again in the future.

Dr Scher and office staff were very warm, friendly and welcoming. Dr Scher consulted with us about our new puppy for approximately 1 1/2 hour. Very knowledgable and a wealth of helpful information. Did not feel rushed, and staff obviously adore their patients.

It went well. Dr. Sher was not happy that I wanted to order the heart worm preventive from another source. He was concerned that it would not be reliable, so we discussed that issue.
He took blood from Strider and called me later in the day to let me know that his liver function was perfect.
He was not concerned about the lumps and said that it was typical for Strider's breed and age.

I can't believe no one has given this good doctor an evaluation in that many years! When we first got Strider as a breath-taking 8-week-old, we took him initially to a different vet in our area. After being made to wait over an hour (and sometimes 1-1/2 hours) past our appointment times, I finally walked out of the office one day and told them I would let them know where to send the puppy's file. I then tried another vet who was even worse than the first.
I was determined to find a good vet with whom I could work and persevered until I found DR. SHER AT BROOK MEADOW VETERINARIAN HOSPITAL and have been going to him for 7-8 years (can't recall exactly!) I can always get a convenient appointment when I call. I am always early when I have an appointment with anyone, so when I walk in with Strider, the person who had the appointment before me is usually finishing up and paying. There is usually no one else in the waiting room, as opposed to the 5-6 people who were in the other vets' waiting rooms well past their appointment times! We chat and interact with the staff for a few minutes until the doctor finishes up and then we are escorted into the exam room right on time. Strider loves the doctor and his staff and is very well behaved for them. Dr. Sher is thoughtful, thorough, cautious, and concerned. I feel he is truly a collaborator with me in my pet's health. He does not talk down to me and considers carefully any input I give him about Strider's health and habits, his energy level, whether he seems to be in distress or discomfort, etc. Dr. Sher has earned my trust and confidence.

The vet is very good with the animals. The dog goes right to the scale and he is very comfortable there. That makes me very happy and I am impressed with the way that they handle everything. We are satisfied as well because the price is reasonable. If you need a trustworthy caring doctor for your pets, then this is the place to go.
