Lawn Tool Repair
I called several places to get estimates and over the phone they were all about $150. I chose Pand P due to both location and the fact that many professional lawn companies use them for service.
The owner, Charlie, took his time and explained to me why it was happening, what the likely cause was, and gave me an estimate of under $150 for rebuilding the carb, changing the oil, and servicing the mower. He said it would take about a week to complete, so I gave him the OK to proceed.
A week later having heard nothing from the shop, I called them. I was informed they were still actively working on it and trying to get everything running smoothly but were having a bit of difficulty. I let it sit for another few days and not hearing from them I called again. I was informed they were still working on it and it would be ready the next day. On the following day I called to verify it was ready before going to get it. Without me asking for him, the owner got on the phone and gave me a detailed explanation of why it had taken so long and what they were having difficulty with. He told me all was fine but it still had a slight miss when not under load. He doubted I would even notice it, but still wanted me to be aware of the situation. I decided to pick it up and give it a shot.
When I arrived at the shop, I was only charged $85.60, far below the quoted estimate. And then, once again, the owner sought me out and explained the entire situation. He said it was as good as it could be without totally replacing the carb, but thought I would be satisfied. After a bit of discussion, I decided to leave the mower and have him order and install a new carb.
A week later when I picked it up, it ran flawlessly, actually better than it ever had. And yet once again Charlie wanted to explain everything for me. Then to top everything off, I was only charged and additional $81.60 for the new carb.
That was the carb's actual price, they did not charge me for any additional labor, or incidental costs.
While it did take longer than I had anticipated, and I had to call them to check on things, I feel I was treated very fairly, professionally, got quality work, and at a very fair price. All in all I am very satisfied with the entire experience.

Lawn Tool Repair
A very good experience. I called to check on the length of time it would take and the price. I was satisfied with both and
dropped off my equipment. It was finished as promised and the work was good.Rebecca S.
