We started in December with the dryer and then in sequence they all broke. That's kinda how it goes if you think about it though because you buy them all pretty much at the same time. The dryer was in December, and the refrigerator I think was in January. The stove and refrigerator were I think in April or May. We actually had a stove that had continually - apparently was emitting carbon monoxide. The fire department came a couple of times because our alarm went off, so it was like you know what, this is not worth keeping this thing. Fortunately, we had a sensor. The fireman said well open the window every time you turn on the oven. I was like, really? Do you think I'm gonna remember to do that in February, really? It's a family owned place. I've been buying appliances there since I was in a position to need appliances. Nowadays, you can look on the internet and see which model you want so you don't have to go through the whole thing like you used to, looking in books and all that stuff. You can go in there with a pretty good idea of what's available and what you'd like. They can get you anything you want. Usually it's just a matter of a couple of days to receive the appliances. After the second carbon monoxide indicator light went off on the stove, I was like well, that was it for the stove. So then we just got the refrigerator so that they would all match. The stove is a convection so it's got all these fancy bells and whistles that nobody ever uses. I do a lot of cooking but I don't need all that. And the microwave definitely had died. Their price was competitive; we checked. Give them all A's for everything because we have no complaints. The warranty people, they called them right away when we had a problem with a piece of the refrigerator breaking and they came right out and fixed it. I would say that you don't have to purchase the warranty, but if you do, you get good service. Something's bound to break, you know? The same guys have been there for a long time and like I said, it's a family business so they're invested in making sure they give good service.

In sequence, all the appliances broke. That's kinda how it goes if you think about it though because you buy them all pretty much at the same time. First it was the dryer, then it was the stove, then it was the refrigerator. We bought the cheapest dryer because they last like three years, so why pay a lot of money. I would give them an A overall. They're great. For price an A. They're competitive; they have to be because they're small. They've gotta compete with one of those big box places. I think I started using them because at one time I lived down the street from their store, so it was easy to just walk in there and take a look. The other thing is, they take away the old one and that's a huge thing. We're senior citizens now. You know, carrying that stuff out to the street is no easy task. They take them away and they rehab them and help people with them. We're retired social workers, so we used to get furniture from them to help people that didn't have refrigerators or whatever. They have a bit of a social conscience, you might say. There's nothing they can improve on that I can think of, honestly.

We contacted the Attorney General's Office, Department of Consumer Affairs, and found out that EVERY business in NJ  must have a clearly stated and visible return policy.  Mattresses are returnable, unless the item was marked 'as is' which this mattress was brand new. In fact, all furniture purchases are protected under NJ Division of Consumer Protection law and the vendor , ALBO, may NOT use words like "nonrefundable", "all sales final", "no cancellations" or "all mattress sales final".  The salesman, James, told us that we had to speak directly with the Sealy sales representative, Jeff Schindler, who also confirmed that mattresses are not returnable. This is clearly against NJ law.  The Board of Chosen Freeholders of Burlington County, NJ, has initiated action regarding this business transaction.   ALBO has several sales locations.  ALL peopl who have bought appliances/mattresses at ALBO have the same ILLEGAL WORDING on their receipt, "ALL SALES ARE FINAL".   Currently there are 23 complaints registered with the Better Business Bureau online against  ALBO.  If you have been affected by the "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" policy of the company, or if  you are considering a purchase, you may have recourse through the laws of the State of NJ for restitution or compliance.

We went into ALBO and had quick, friendly service.  Our sales person was knowledgable and helpful and we chose a dishwasher.  We were told that a handyman would be by to put it in.  I questioned why a handyman would be coming and not an actual installer and was told that is who they use.  A man came to remove our old dishwasher and put in the new one.  I was not monitoring what was going on and when I finally looked I saw that he had dragged the dishwasher down my wood floors, ruining them.  Then he couldn't get the new washer in the hole so he took a saw to my wood floors.  The handyman showed me how to work the dishwasher at which time we saw that it had a broken rack.  I then had to pay him approximately $176 dollars for the installation.  I called ALBO to complain and they said to call the handyman back and he will make it right.  I had to call Kitchenaide to have the rack installed.  Also, when I went to run my dishwasher it wasn't working.  The guy forgot to turn the water on.  He came back to get the water on.  Then he came back and put putty in the holes on the floor and stained it.  It looked awful.  I called ALBO and they said the handyman will make it right.  The handyman did send a floor guy who did replace the floor at no cost to me.  I have since realized that the dishwasher is not anchored in and therefore falls out when I have all three racks out.  I called the handyman this time since I already knew ALBO's answer (the handyman will make it right).  He said he will be by to do it.
The handyman is a very nice man, but my complaint is that a dishwasher should be installed by someone qualified to do it.  I would expect a place like ALBO to have professional installers but I guess that is not what they do.  They continue to "make it right" but a lot of this is unnecessary hassle I would rather not have to deal with.

The salesman, John Cunning, was extremely helpful, especially concerning a mistake I made measuring for the refrigerator. The installers were efficient and fast. The appliances were delivered on time, with courtesy calls from the driver. Forget internet companies - the prices and service from ALBO are much better.
