After the exhaust pipe on this electric clothes dryer came loose I shoved it back into the dryer and caused an electrical short that resulted in sparks and some smoke. I drove to Sieberg's to discuss the option of repairing this 11 year old dryer or replace with a used one which they sell and install. Sieberg is family owned and operated and has a well-deserved reputation for honesty and quality service. I had used them in the past and trust their judgement. I was told that repair of my Maytag dryer would make sense given the quality of the appliance.
The repair technician was very personable and took the time to call me the day of the service call to tell me his schedule and his expected time of arrival (which was very accurate.) He also is efficient and does quality work. He repaired and replaced the parts that had been damaged at a very reasonable cost, using genuine Maytag replacement parts. He also made a minor adjustment on the exhaust pipe to prevent it from detaching again.
The dryer is running quietly like it did when it was new.
This a company I trust and recommend highly.

It used to be a nice friendly family business when it was run by the previous older gentleman. When it is now being run by a younger family member Eric, things have changed a lot. Last time when I replaced my microwave, repaired my washer, etc about 2 to 3 years ago everything was good and the price was exactly as quoted. There was no misunderstanding ever.

This time I called and fixed an appointment for Replace of microwave, I was informed that there will be a $55 service charge and $60 per hour for the actual service which included replace of old with new and haul away of old one.

It took about 35 minutes and I thought I would be charged $55 + $35 = $90 for the job. Or a maximum of $115 if they charge labor for 1 hour.

However when the job was complete the installer charged me $55 for service charge and $90 for the microwave replace. I asked him for an explanation and was informed that they always charge $90 fixed price for microwave installs and only repairs are $60 per hour.

In fact, I specifically asked the person on the phone if they could do it for a fixed price since it was just a replace and they stated they can't as this was the new policy. The installers kept insisting that it has been $90 fixed price for microwave replace and plus $55 service charge for travel for the last 10 years. Also they claimed the information given to me was about repairs and I misunderstood the whole thing. I even spoke to Eric about it and he didn't want to be bothered about it.

How can one mistake replacing and taking away the old microwave as a repair job?

The clothes washing machine had some smoking along with a burning smell on one occasion.
Sieberg arrived during the scheduled service window. After thoroughly examining and testing the washer no smoke or smells were present and all parts were in good working order with none needing replacement. He explained that the symptoms we experienced prior to the service call could be caused by overloading the washer.
While he was here, even though it had not been previously scheduled, he listened to an ongoing squealing sound from the clothes dryer. He resolved it with some maintenance procedures like lubrication of parts.
This company has a well-deserved reputation for honesty and reliability and are highly recommended.
They are family and locally owned and operated. A previous report full of complaints and mentioning a large Canadian firm are totally in error.

After the 7-year-old clothes dryer shocked my daughter when she pressed the start button and then would not start, I checked the connections, unplugged and plugged it back in a couple of times, and could not get it to start. I called Sieberg Appliances and was told if they could not arrive the same day would arrive the following day, which they did. The serviceman got the dryer to work after plugging it in. He ran tests and checked the wiring in the dryer and could not find anything wrong with it. He suggested that the 220V outlet was very old and a little loose and that likely was the cause of the problem and that I should contact an electrician to repair/replace it. He said that it probably made a connection when he plugged it in and that is why the dryer began to work again. I was charged the basic $65 service call fee plus only $25 for labor. This is the first time I have used Sieberg Appliance and found them to be a very honest company and would use them again.

The are owned by a large Canadian based firm. They sent several people over who had conflicting diagnoses and wildly different cost estimates. Ultimately, the expensive solution and part replacement they did not solve the problem. I was happy they did not make pay for it though. They seem sort of competent but not focused on getting you an accurate diagnosis and cost-effective solution. I had others come and replace my A/C in a much more cost-effective way than the repairs Sieberg tried to f**** upon me.

They were very friendly and very funny. They just came, did what they had to do and left. They didn't make up anything and did not cheat me out of my money. I also feel that they did quality work. They came the same day that I called them.

This was an incredible experience! I found Roger to be extremely honest, professional, and went above and beyond. He couldn't have been nicer as well! Roger knows a lot of appliances and knew the correct hose that needed to be installed right away and went back to his store, got the part, and didn't even charge me for the extra trip he had to make. I had another company who came out to fix it originally and it malfunctioned right away and they charged me over $50 more and didn't spend even half the time that Roger spent. Roger asked some very important questions before he came out, like make and model number, to make sure he would have the parts readily available in his truck. When he realized he didn't, it wasn't an issue at all as he went right back to his store, got the correct parts and came right back to make sure the job was done correctly the first time. He also encouraged me to call him anytime if I had any questions about anything!
