The service man said it was leaking as the refrigerator was pitched forward (i.e., not level front to back) and the defrost cycle was then causing the water to come forward and ultimately leak from underneath the freezer door. I asked him if he would raise the front by adjusting the leveling "feet." He said if he did that it would cost at least $150 and it would take him less than 5 minutes, so it might make sense for me to do it myself (at that price, I clearly agreed). However, I was told when I scheduled the work that if I had repairs done, the $75 trip fee would be applied to the repairs - clearly not the case. He was not willing to do it without charging me the $150, despite the fact he was only in my home for 10 minutes and did not look at anything on the appliance other than the outside of it visually from the front. Ultimately, I ended up raising the leveling "feet" so the refrigerator is visibly pitched to the back now (i.e., front sitting higher than the rear) and the issue was not resolved (and yes, took me less than 5 minutes). He had no intention of doing any other work believing the leveling was the issue, so now I will have to have another contractor come back and assess the issue and do the work. There is NO WAY I would ever call this company again.
