Arpin Van Lines - Applegate Moving & Storage Inc

I used Applegate Moving and Storage on a family and friend recommendation. I WILL not recommend them to anyone! The move occurred June 2015. The movers arrived on time, but that was the only thing that was positive. I was moving from the home I recently sold to my new home. At the old home the movers did not properly secure drawers in a dresser and slammed the drawers into a wall when they were moving the piece. They tried to fit another piece of furniture through a doorway that it would not fit through. The mover only discovered that the furniture didn't fit after he slammed into the door jamb and scratched the wood trim on the furniture piece. After the house was emptied I found a gouge in the hardwood floors that was not there prior to movers. I lived in the home eight (8) years and managed not to scratch the hardwood floors. The movers were there four (4) hours and were able to scratch the floors no problem. Thanks! At the new home I told the driver that I did not want the truck in the driveway due to weight concerns and the possibility that the truck could damage the driveway. This lead to a debate on how the truck shouldn't damage the driveway. I gave in only for the fact that the movers were taking forever and parking the truck in driveway would expedite the process (or so I thought). As they moved the pieces into my home, they banged boxes and furniture into the walls of the stairway upstairs several times. The moving team only hustled after they realized that it was 5:00 PM and they still weren't complete with the job. It was a Friday and they were hoping to get the job done early so they could go home early. I heard this from the moving team ALL DAY!!! I called the owner of Applegate and voiced my dismay about the team he provided and the damages that occurred. He was apologetic and said he would get back to me. It is December 2015 and I am still waiting for his return call.
