When I spoke to the owner (Charles Wolff), he had just returned from vacation. The person that had done great work for me in the past (Scott) was no longer with the company. The owner said he would have to come check the house because we already had a written, signed estimate. I have called him several times begging him to call back to schedule the work. He has not called back for two weeks.
Description of Work: Their former employee Scott gave me the initial estimate. I spent $138.00 for the permit, now I can't get anyone to come back and start the work.

Response from ALLAIRE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR
Yes there are two sides to every story. We had done one small job for member. We found the repair work that someone had done prior to us getting there was done incorrectly. We prepared door bell system and billed member, which she paid about a week later. We were also asked to provide an estimate for additional work she wanted done. I also informed member permits were needed, which she forwarded to me about a month later. We filled them out and returned them to her. I received a call asking us to put her on the schedule. I informed her not until we have permits would I reschedule her. This was December 12, 2012. Member called back late January and said she finally had permits, but between December and end of January we got very busy due to Hurricane Sandy. We are a very small shop and have been booked through June of this year and have not been taking on any additional customers. Member never signed contracts, nor did we take any deposits. As far as permit fees, she can have a change of contractor done at no charge with township. No matter what she would still have this fee. The contract we sent member was a budget price. No work would have been done until we had a final price, due to walls opening not done at time of estimate. Please feel free to call me with any questions.
