They were fast and cleaned up quick

Went excellently. He was prompt and businesslike for both the job preview and the work itself. Told us how he was going to do the work and then did it.

Waited till we had another heavy wind before writing review. The repair held up great.

It well very well. Brian arrived on time to give me estimation. The following day he again arrived on time and started the job one by one. The work was initially planned for two hours. However, we got some issues while the work was undergoing. It took more than four hours to complete. But, Brian did not lose his focus and completed the job to our satisfaction. He did not charge me anything extra for the extended hours. His rate is reasonable, work is good and overall he is a dependable handyman.

Brian was a nice guy (professional) and was very flexible with his schedule and came to my Dad's house at 7:00 p.m. on a week night to accommodate my work schedule. He also came to my job to meet me which is far away from his work area to take my deposit. He did all the work I asked and when more extensive work was needed, he made suggestions on what had to be done and always ran things by me and checked prices before going on with the job. He purchased materials for me since and made many runs to Home Depot and only charged for the materials and no unnecessary high labor charges. There were a couple of minor hiccups with the gutter work, Gutter was put on upside down, but when I let Brian know about the mistake, he fixed it right away. The kitchen sink faucet was put on backwards meaning when you put the faucet towards cold water, hot water comes out and when put the faucet towards hot water cold water comes out. I did not let Brian know about this mistake because it was minor, For all the running around he did for me to Home Depot and coming back at a later date to fix the gutter, I let the mistake with the kitchen faucet go as it was minor. I am not a fussy person. All in all, it was a job well done and was done in the time frame I expected it to be which was about 7 days.

I called Big B's but no one picked up the phone and it went to voicemail. I was on the road so I didn't leave a message was planning to call back later. A few minutes passed and Kim called me back, from the caller id I would assume. I explained I would like to set a time for an estimate for some drywall repairs on my condo. Kim was very pleasant by the way, so I thought I had made the right choice by picking BB. I was asked if I would be available the following day at 9am. I said yes, so Kim was going to verify that that would be ok and would call me right back. Well that was two days ago and I still haven't heard back from Kim, or anyone at Big B's. It's unfortunate, but that was my experience with Big B's. First and last.

Never had visit for estimate. I would consider the service if called back.

He was just wonderful! He quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. I am very pleased.

This was my first time using Angie's list and I was very pleased with the service of Big B. He called me back immediately to look at the job and provided me with a quote. His crew arrived for the job on time and immediately started to work. His crew was very professional and was not disruptive in my home.They also answered questions I had. I asked them about another job and they told me how to do it myself- I appreciated this information. I was pleased with the sheet rock and painting job done- I plan to use them again. I would recommend them to others.

I highly recommend Big B. Very professional and friendly. The quality of work is excellent.

The gate to our fence was not closing because the adjacent panel had separated from the fence post. One of the slats in the gate was also cracked. In addition we needed the latch on another gate realigned so we could lock the gate easily. Brian answered my phone call the first time I called. He came out the next as he said he would and looked at the problem. I received a call back from him the day after letting me know that he could make the repairs. He also quoted me a fair price. He arrived the next afternoon as he said he would and made all the repairs. We were pleased with his work and are relieved that the gates are now easy to lock.

Excellent. The whole team came when they said they would, took special care of my home and were very careful in the work they did. Extra bonus - they cleaned up after themselves. Very fair and ethical group of guys.

Excellent, on schedule, daily updates, daily supervision, professional workers, cannot enough of how happy we are with the timing, quality of work and the ease to work with them. Prices were in line with what we were expecting. If there was a problem that needed fixing found the reason for the problem and was able to fix the situation. I wish that all contractors were this honest, flexible, and workmanship were consistent with this vendor.

Audi, Jeff, Matt and Brian were nothing but professional! All work completed excellent and done in the time frame promised!

Job was done in a very timely fashion. My son just sold his house and needed the repairs done right away and Brian was there.

I’ve used Brian before and I know how good Big B’s is. His estimates are fair AND accurate, which is rare in this business. Brian, Jeff and Matt came in and did everything in the four days they estimated and for the cost they estimated. I would recommend Brian to anyone. He’s the only person I would use for painting or handyman work in my home. If there’s a problem, he owns the problem and addresses it rather than shifting responsibility elsewhere.

Brian and his colleagues (Jeff, Matt and Steve) were professional from start to finish. They arrived early everyday, provided updates at every turn and cleaned up each time. Everything was completed to perfection. I will surely hire him again.

Amazing Company! In TWO days ALL the above-mentioned work was finished to perfection! Big B's works on Staten Island. Returns calls promptly to schedule. Prices-excellent. Arrives exactly at 8:30am. Brings with the right amount of men and supplies. Work done is fantastic.... And leaves the house spotless.

On 10/3 I contacted 2 local Angie's List servicemen. This company made an appointment for an estimate at 10:30 AM on 10/4. He no-showed. Late day, I emailed and he responded that he just woke up due to a stomach issue and stated he would contact me for another appointment. That never happened. I waited until 10/11 and wrote him that I would be writing a negative review, but by today (10/14) I haven't heard back. I guess he doesn't care. Almost exactly the same story with the other Angie's List referral from my local area.

Brian was great. I left a message for him with the description of the job. He returned my call promptly and set up an appointment to provide an estimate. He came out to provide an estimate as promised. While Brian was looking over the rotting wood around the door, he took the time to figure out how the water was getting in so he could try to prevent that from happening in the future. I decided to give Brian the job and he called me later that day to schedule the work. Brian and team showed up as agreed and completed the work in a few hours. They were careful with the demolition and painting. They removed all debris and cleaned the job site. I would hire Big B's Handyman again in the future and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

. Brian and his crew did excellent work in repairing the roof, replacing the damaged gutter, and repairing part of a ceiling under that roof. Also, they replaced a severely bent vent pipe on a separate roof.

Would really recommend this company. The owner called me back!! (Many don't.) The work was professional and they left the spaces cleaner than they were when they got there! If it wasn't quite right, it was fixed immediately to perfection! Reasonable and prompt. Who could ask for anything more!

I called to get an estimate on a bathroom remodel, Brian called me back the same day and set up an appointment for the following day. The quoted price was more than reasonable. When they started the work they were on time and cleaned up each day. The workers explained every part of the project before going forward to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Needless to say I was very satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the whole team.
