I am very disappointed in the services rendered from Guru Waterproofing LLC. I contacted them to install a French drain in my backyard between the days of 1/5/24 and 1/6/24. I was quoted $2500 and signed a contract that included a warranty on their work. However, was contacted during the job that they needed an extra $800 because they encountered concrete during the dig, which I paid because I wanted the job to be done right. I understand that was not worded in my original contract, but I would still like a refund for the original $2500 due to the fact that the job was done incorrectly, or they need to come back and properly fix the drain system. In addition to the job being done incorrectly, they damaged my property. They broke 3 sprinkler heads – that I know of, and pipes for the particular section of the sprinkler system in the backyard when they dug for the drain, which is totally unacceptable. They did not contact me at all during the job to advise me that they hit a road block (the sprinkler system) and I feel the job was rushed. What I feel would be a fair resolution is one of the two options 1. A refund on the original agreed amount of $2500 or 2. the company comes back and fixes the mistake as I am still experiencing flooding in my backyard as per the warranty on the contract that I signed. I have tried contacting the company 8 times via phone call and text since the job was completed and was only answered one time by the owner who promised he would come by to fix it and never did. He never answered my last 3 calls when I been trying to tell him about them damaging my sprinklers. I am deeply disappointed in the services rendered, and lack of communication. I am hoping for a refund or the job being fixed as soon as possible seeing as this job was paid for in January 2024 and it is now May 2024. Thank you.

If you hire this company, make sure that you check their work and that you check areas that they were not even supposed to touch. One of my walls was cut into with a saw and when they noticed that they were not supposed to touch that wall they just left it and did not say anything to anybody. The foreman decided that something needed to change from what was agreed upon and did not consult with me before they changed it. One of my baseboard heaters started leaking after they worked in my basement. I notified him of this problem, and he told me that he was going to send someone to look at it. Over a week later no one had come, and I had to get a plumber of my own because his crew could not come look at it. He has told me repeatedly that he will reimburse me for the plumber, and just about two months later, I am still waiting for this money. I hope I do not get this runaround if I have to call on them for the warranty. So, I pray the French drain does what it is supposed to do. > Company owner Michael G. reached out to me and on August 9th we reached a mutually acceptable solution to the outstanding reimbursement of the plumber's bill.

I am extremely pleased with my basement waterproofing job. Michael walked me through the process thoroughly and had a keen eye for detail - fixing a blocked drain and rerouting my sump pump outflow in addition to the primary job of waterproofing the perimeter of the basement. The job was done lightning fast - within 48 hours of our initial consultation. I highly recommend Guru Waterproofing!

I have to report how happy we were with Guru. We had french drains and an outdoor sump pump installed and all aspects went smoothly. When they left, you would never even know they were there. They had to dig up much of the yard, but they cut the grass back neatly and then replaced it exactly as it was and they also worked around the current landscaping. The work was also done quickly and professionally. Mike and his workers followed up as the job progressed. The electrician that came out was also wonderful! I would recommend them for any service they provide, as the company can be trusted and that is hard to find!

I had a crawl space excavated out by Guru Waterproofing. Mike did an amazing job right from planning with the structural engineer and obtaining the permit from township. This was a big project where they had to underpin the foundation without compromising the building structure. His crew were very professional and knew their trade well. Right from digging, underpinning and to setting up the form for concrete, all the steps were carefully followed and passed all the inspections. I would highly recommend Guru Waterproofing for their outstanding job with in the budget.

There are not enough words to express my gratitude to Guru Waterproofing. Where do I start? From my initial phone call for estimate, Guru returned my call within 15 mins and was at my property to survey the project in 2 hours. That is unheard of! I was walked through my issue and the "why" its happening then presented with the solution, cost and project start date of "tomorrow". When was the last time all this happened to anyone? Even so i took a day to think about it but i knew I was going forward with Guru. 2 days later, a dumpster and a team of 9 showed up at 8:30am and by 5:30pm the project was completed. 1 DAY and the water issue was solved, the musty basement smell was gone! The team was professional, clean and courteous. They tarped all the items in my basement for dust and even spread out tarps on my floors upstairs to minimize any dirt they carried upstairs. If you are in need of this type of service GURU is the way to go! Thank you GURU!

The Guru waterproofing team were very professional. They did an excellent job installing a French drain to eliminate the water issues in my foundation walls. They cleaned all the dust and debris and made sure that no dust from their work reached the main floor of my house. In addition, the owner, Mike, was very easy to deal with.

Guru completed the project in one day. The crew was professional, hard-working, and cleaned-up the job site nicely. A week later Hurricane Isias arrived driving rain against the side of the house where the work was performed. For the first time in years, there was no water coming through the crack or window into the basement. Guru provided a solution that was very competitive with excellent service! Mike came out to assess a water problem in our basement. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. His crew worked in a timely manner and everything was cleaned up when the job was complete and best of all our basement is DRY!! I highly recommend Guru waterproofing!!
