I have been dealing with them for over 40 years. He very reluctantly wanted to get involved with any individual because he wanted to do it this way. He did it for me. I've never had a trouble with it.

This old house had separate shower and tub faucets from early last century. Since the faucets were embedded in the tile of the tub/shower, replacing was a large process we pushed off for years.

I was able to fix the leaky shower hot water faucet several times with new washers, and resurfacing the valve seat. However, the valve stem corroded to the point where it needed to be replaced and I could not find a replacement.

On a recommendation from a neighbors and friends we contacted the Knichel brothers. They gave us a proposal that included he tile specialist that was very reasonable.

The work required the tile specialist to come in and remove the tile from around the old faucets. The plumber then came in and removed the old plumbing and install the new plumbing. Then the tile specialist came back and put in new tile around the new faucet.

The work was completed on schedule. The mess was minimal. The results are great!

Extremely well, would certainly use again and recommend to anyone needing plumbing services.

He's fabulous, kind, on time and reasonable. He's one in a million. He consulted with me about an upcoming tiling project I have planned. He's honest. I trust him.

I wanted to find a high quality plumber that would charge a more reasonable price for the work than my normal plumber who I felt gouged us on another job where I believe he took for granted our de facto use of his services. Jeff Knichel was very responsive, professional, thoughtful, punctual, and careful. They provided a reasonable estimate - not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. However, they offered the most professionalism in our dealings, and that compelled me to chose them. They were willing to fit in the work ASAP - in spite of a busy schedule - which allowed us to install the grill before a weekend event. The job also required digging a trench along the patio for underground installation of copper tubing. While Jeff and his brother were willing to do that part, they suggested that it would be cheaper for me to use my landscaper to do the digging and subsequent refilling. I opted for their suggested approach. Because of their responsiveness - as well as that of my landscaper - I was able to project manage the whole thing into a 2-day period, including installing new electrical lines to the grill area as well. The work done was explained before and after, and it looks good and functions very well. Jeff and his brother were a pleasure to deal with. I am very pleased with Russell Knichel Plumbers and will absolutely be using them again going forward.

Jeff and Tommy are the outstanding! They are two brothers that learned the trade from their father and uncle. They primarily work in the Mahwah area. They have worked in our house for years for the prior owners as well. Since they know the history of our 1939 "fixer-upper", we rest much easier. I guess that you can always get a cheaper vendor, we usually go for quality/experience.

This had happened when there was major flooding in the area. No one had any pumps to purchase and K Mitchell found the pump that we wanted and saved us from more damage than we already had. I had called around and found that he was the least expensive. He got the job done in a timely manner and we will call him for all our plumbing needs.
