Purchased a certified pre-owned civic that was sold to me with a paint defect. Although there was an open recall on this issue mahwah honda refused to work with me up remedy the situation. I ultimately had the recall work performed at another dealership. Horrendous customer service. Will never step foot in this dealership again!

There never seems to be enough hours in the day. Joe Donegan, the internet manager at Mahwah Honda, relieves all the time pressure. A lot can be accomplished on line and over the phone. The price quoted by Joe was fair and reasonable with no pressure; even Howard Polman the Fand I manager, refrained from any high pressure sales tactics and explained all the paperwork with efficiency . The trade- in was also within an acceptable range. They delivered everything they promised with professionalism and courtesy. You never had that and quot;bad feelingand quot; as you went through the process. I have bought several cars at Mahwah Honda and this was the best experience yet.

Fine, came out sooner than expected

We have been customers of Mahwah Honda for over 15 years. The service department has a tremendous amount of turnover in their Service Advisor position and has turned to generating income through low hanging fruit. For a majority of the time they do not stock parts on major items so the vehicle is bound for at least a two day visit when something is really wrong. After two days they were able to service many of the items but did not identify the major problem for which we had as they could no duplicate. It had been there two days and our thought is that no technician or service advisor took it for a ride before bringing it into the shop. We drove with someone the next day and could not duplicate it but we know its there. In fact, they knew it was happening the first time but couldn't figure out why after trying to trouble shoot the issue related to a shaking in the 2nd gear or 30-40MPH. What really burns us up is that they charge for everything and list it out. They didn't have a part and it had to be brought in via FEDEX. That charge showed up on our bill. We do recommend doing business with Mahwah Honda but you need to watch the invoice and stick to services that you CAN NOT do on your own. It shouldn't cost $29 per tail light bulb when you can do it your self. It shouldn't cost $135 to change a cabin air filter when an oil change place does it for half the cost. Stay on top of your invoice and stick to what you think needs to be done to control your maintenance cost to keep it real.

The service manager did find what the problem was. They went through the car based on what we projected him to do. He kept a 105,000 mile van back on the road.

They were a very nice dealership to work with.

I brought my car in for scheduled maintenance. As part of the service they examined the battery and told me I needed to replace it ASAP. Even including adding a new battery, the service went very quickly. I have brought my car there on other occasions and have had similar experiences. The service coordinators were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely use them again. My only complaint is that their waiting room isn't as nice as at other dealerships, but the service has been so quick, that it doesn't bother me too much. Their rates seem very reasonable (at least compared to what I pay for service on my Volvo).

You must be aware of attempts to squeeze more money out of you that is not fair.

The sales staff was great. They were easy to talk to and they did not use hard pressure tactics to get us to buy from them. They made us feel comfortable in making the decision on our purchase.

I am extremely impressed by Mahwah dealership's professionalism and customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, the battery had been replaced 2 months prior. As it turned out, the battery was a faulty one. The dealership replaced the faulty one with a brand new one at no charge or prorating fee.
