They do a really good job. They were extremely punctual and professional. I will be using their services till they stop doing this kind of work.

I had just moved to the house with the pool and knew nothing about pool maintenance. The previous owner had taken some necessary pool equipment with them and the condition of the equipment they left was not great. Equinox provided all that was needed at half the price quoted by other pool guys

Lawrence was punctual, polite and efficient.

The service provider was consistently late of scheduled appointments by up to 5 hours without calling in advance. When the pool turned green, he was unresponsive to correct the situation. When the cleaning robot was stuck at the bottom of the pool in the drain the service provider was unresponsive to correcting the situation. We called an alternative pool service company to fix the problem. We will never use Equinox again and would suggest that other do not use Equinox.

He was terrific. He called me back right away and his prices were lower than most. His work seemed very accurate. His son works with him and they got the job done pretty quick and thoroughly.

Lawrence spent a lot of time on the phone with me....three times! This was the first time I had ever used Equinox and I was very impressed.  He was very knowledgable, professional and a little funny.  
I am pretty weird when I hire someone to do a job....I expect it to get done...which is something my previous pool guy failed to do.  Equinox went above and beyond, even telling me what chemicals to get on my own, which he didn't want to charge me for.
I will be using them to open and close my pool from now on.

We've used them twice, so we we're satisfied enough to use them again and will probably use them next year if necessary.

It went very well. They showed up on time each day to perform the work . They first removed my pool cover WASHED it and got it ready to put away. They power washed the pool one day . They put one coat of paint the next day. Then returned to put on another coat. I believe we waited a couple of days before they came back to open the pool and make sure it was fully operational . They did this in the beginning of July. They returned in August to close the pool. I found Lawrence and his crew to be friendly,courteous and ready and willing to get the job done to my satisfaction. the pool ran well all season and I never had any algae growth in the pool the entire time even in the very hot weather.

Lawrence and his team did a pool closing and they were outstanding. 
They came on time and did a great job for a fair price.  I will be using
them again.  I am a new pool owner and Lawrence took my phone calls and
even helped me backwash by pool over the phone.  He always calls back
and is very patient if you have no clue what you are doing.  I would
recommend Equinox Pools to anyone who asks.  A+ service provided

We phoned the service for an estimate, and got a good vibe from them, as the owner seemed friendly and down-to-earth.  So we booked them for service the upcoming Saturday.  
Unfortunately, they did not turn up when they said they would (10:00 a.m.). and after being around 7 hours late we decided to reschedule as it was getting close to dark.  However, because they had been unable to come, they were kind enough to promise to give an additional discount and to re-clean the leaves from the pool, which we had cleaned in order to ready the pool for closure.  They were late because of unforseen problems with another customer's pool, which they were rightly diligent enough to see through to remedying, so I can't entirely fault them for the delay.
Once rescheduled for the following Monday, they did show up, albeit about an hour late.  But once they got here, they worked very efficiently, thoroughly and effectively and were excellent at explaining what they were doing and why they were doing it.  
These days, it's not unusual for service providers to not run exactly on time, so I suppose this would not be a big deal for many people.  If you're tight for time and absolutely need to have your service arrive on time, then perhaps they might not be the best choice.  But if you're able to be flexible with your time and let them come when they can, then these guyz are a great find.  
Their prices are very fair and the quality of work is excellent.  The owner and one other person did the work, and unlike many pool companies, they don't appear to subcontract their work out to whomever will do it cheaply.  When they were late, they readily offered a discount for our trouble, which most companies wouldn't bother to do, and are definitely committed to customer satisfaction.
I highly recommend Equinox for excellent quality of work, and we will definitely call them in the future for further service.

They were the only ones that were able to diagnose the problem.  The appointments were timely kept.  They were highly professional with estimate and workmanship.  Lastly, they went above and beyond in overall customer satisfaction.  I would suggest dealing with Lawrence Norton, he is the sole proprietor.

Lawrence came out and measured my pool for free and gave me an estimate on Meyco Pool Covers. He was friendly, very thorough with his explanation, and gave me a great price on a safety pool cover plus labor. He beat pricing, courteousness, and professionalism out of all 4 places I called in my area. They came out and installed my cover and did a great job. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was nicely done. I definitely feel encouraged to use them for my future pool concerns.

The work went well.  They gave us a fair assessment in regards to price.  They were about half the price of another company we had been using, and Equinox charged what they quoted me.  They were prompt.  I am a new pool owner, and from what I can tell, they did a good job.

Lawrence of Equinox Pools has been the only person in the otherwise terrible pool industry who, in my experience, knows what he's doing. I've had several problems with my 20x40 inground pool which he came to the rescue to fix, or he talked me through what was necessary over the phone.

One example was a terrible algae problem I had after opening with another pool company. (This incident is one of the reasons I am sold on Lawrence and Equinox.) No matter how many chemicals the pool store told me to buy and use, it was still a green gooey mess. The pool company that opened my pool that season said they could only recommend repeating all the chemicals again. I went on the internet to find a pool company in my area to get a second opinion. Upon calling Equinox, Lawrence asked me a few questions and assessed the that the problem was that I didn't have enough salt for my chlorinator to make chlorine. He told me to buy 16 bags, keep the filter running for 2 days 24/7 and call him after that. The problem was resolved and I had a crystal clear pool the remainder of the season. That was 2009. Equinox has been my pool service since then with no problems whatsoever!

After opening my 20x40 inground pool with another pool service, I had a terrible algae problem. They said it was not their fault, and would not return my calls. Had another pool service come before Equinox, and had to buy several expensive chemicals. Didn't correct the problem. Got water tested at Leslie Pools, and bought MORE expensive chemicals. Still didn't fix the problem. I finally called Lawrence at Equinox. I explained the problem over the phone and immediately, he knew exactly what was needed .... more salt for my salt water chlorinator. After the problem was corrected, I had a problem with my filter bogging down. He came over, cleaned it out, checked everything else to make sure all was functioning correctly. Had no problems for the rest of the season! After that, there was no question as to who was going to close my pool ... Equinox! I even recommended Lawrence @ Equinox to a friend who had similar problems with her above ground pool, and he fixed the problems in 1 visit. She too had Lawrence close her pool after that. He's extremely knowledgeable, and very pleasant to deal with (unlike most of the "churn 'em out" pool services in the area.

The salt was included in the price. He said I really won't need anymore chemicals for the rest of the year. That was well worth it. He provides a weekly service for $40 without chemicals, $50 with chemicals.
