It's a pleasure to work with East Ridge. They are meticulous in their work. Their quotes are as comprehensive as possible to give a realistic idea of the true cost of the project; refreshing after having gotten to-good-to-be-true estimates in the past that were followed up with costly change-orders. The subcontractors they use are excellent and Chris Sr. or Chris Jr. are always available to supervise when needed. We always knew who and when someone would be at the house. Our home and our own schedules were respected. They will stick with the job until it completed.

East Ridge has been doing what they do for a long time and their experience was our gain. Their input - whether construction/design ideas, problem-solving on site, recommending subcontractors or other resources - was invaluable to us.

They were wonderful. They were amazing. We can't say enough good things about them. They have done a wonderful job every time they've done anything for us. They are incredibly professional. 99% of the time Chris takes my calls as I'm calling but if he can't, he calls me back within 5 or 10 minutes. He has come in for an emergency situation on a Saturday night at 9 pm when we screwed something up. They are incredibly responsive and incredibly professional. Sometimes he doesn't want to charge me for something, but I have to make him take it. We will continue to use him without question.

I am still in awe at the ease with which this remodeling was accomplished.  Chris Portante's East Ridge Construction is truly a professional, creative, highly skilled group.  Remodeling is a project that requires a number of people to be in your home for a major period of time.  Chris Portante, (the GC who was on site at some point every day if not all day) and his son Chris Jr,  treat your home as if it were their own. Chris's team was courteous, unobtrusive, and the neatest crew I have ever had in my home.  Their work is of the highest quality.  As Chris would say " If you are going to do something, do it right" inferring build it to last.  Chris ensured that all permit approvals were received on time so that work could continue uninterrupted. His group of sub-contractors were equally talented as his crew.  Chris kept me on schedule too with the choices that I needed to make so as to avoid delay.  He made recommendations when he felt something could be done in a better way and his good taste was much appreciated!!  Chris was quick to respond to any questions that I had, and also helpful in recommending sources for home maintenance  (landscaping, irrigation, exterior painting, etc)
All in all, I am so appreciative to Chris, Chris Jr. and the East Ridge Construction team for making the whole experience as easy as it was and for creating the amazing home we now live in.

I had an extremely positive experience working with Chris  & Chris Jr. of East Ridge Construction.  My home was built in the 1930's and all the wood window frames, moldings and doors have never been painted they have always been stained.  The windows on either side of my fireplace did not have frames on them only a painted sill.  East Ridge Construction custom made frames that no one can tell  were not original to the other 15 windows in my living room and dining room!  East Ridge also redid my fireplace from an ugly painted brick to a gorgeous stone.  They also did not mind my request to repair the walls without putting sheetrock over them as they are plaster walls.
 From start to finish they handled the entire job and always kept me up to date as to what was going on.  I really cant say enough as to  how pleased I was with their professionalism and the quality of their work.

They are the most professional group of people that I have had the pleasure of working with. They do superb detail work, and every job is left very clean on a daily basis. The are very responsive to the client and really strive to provide the absolute best service. They are willing to follow up on anything that needs corrections. I would highly recommend them. The quality of their work is superb.

After interviewing eight general contractors regarding remodeling our entire house we decided to hire Chris and East Ridge Construction.  Honestly, it was one of the best decisions we have ever made.  One of our original concerns with building was we wanted to know someone was going to be on site and really be responsible for the construction.  Chris was there every single day. He oversaw every aspect of the construction.  When he said one of his sub-contractors was going to be there - they were there.  His sub-contractors are loyal and responsive because he is loyal and respectful in return.  Chris led us through the construction process with ease.  He made sure we were making choices well in advance of when they were needed and there was never a delay.  Chris also has incredible taste.  Thirty plus years of experience means he knows what works and what looks good.   We trust his advice implicitly. 
Eastridge is a family business  and they take immense pride in their work. They made us feel as if they were building our house as if they were going to live in it. We have received countless compliments about the quality of the craftmenship  and all the work they did exceeded our lofty expectations.  The molding work that Chris and his crew designed and installed is amazing.  
The house we built needed to be accessible.  While our architect had provided a basic plan, Chris made sure everything really was accessible and that it would work for our family.   
Since construction has finished Chris has been our go-to-guy for everything.  Nine months after we built the house we had a problem completely unrelated to the construction.  We called Chris at 9:30pm on a Saturday night and he was here in 15 minutes. Whenever I have called Chris, if he is isn't able to answer immediately, he always calls me right back.  He is incredibly responsive and is always willing to help no matter how big or small the issue is.  
Chris came highly recommended and he made a difficult process a real pleasure. After our house we complete we referred him to family members who have been equally pleased. We are thrilled with our home and so grateful for the talents of Chris and East Ridge Construction.  We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to remodel or build a home.

The job was executed from start to finish flawlessly.  Every tradesman was on site on schedule to perform their work under the supervision of the GC, Chris. The work is premier craftsmanship from start to finish.  This contractor take pride in his work and holds all the trades accountable for primo work.  With the exception of our personal changes (the homeowners) which happen as the build out takes place, there were no problems or shortfalls on delivery of equipment or materials.  He and his crew are 100% trustworthy.  You can feel comfortable giving him a key to your home and your alarm code. 
We have used this contractor since he started his business in 1980.  He has performed 4 major renovations for us at 2 different homes and each was flawlessly executed with spectacular craftsmanship.  He is the ONLY contractor we will allow in our home to perform any construction projects.  East Ridge Construction is a rare entity these days.  When you receive a bid for work from East Ridge, you can rest assured he did not forget any items. If your project costs more than the estimate, it's because you made unplanned changes.
So of course the answer to the question everyone wants to ask is, YES, we would hire him again if we had it to do over again!
Also, 4 other family members have used East Ridge to perform major renovation projects in their homes.  They too, continue to use this expert craftsman.
