NICKS FLOOR COVERING

Great service, very professional and easy to work with. Difficult two direction stair, but they took the time to do it right an it looks great. Initial and quot;best guessand quot; estimate at store was off due to supplier price changes, but worked hard to get discount so price was more than we thought it would be, but they did get it down a bit from what the supplier originally wanted.

They came when scheduled, did their work professionally, and left a clean work space. Several months later some of the carpeting was 'bunching up'in various spots. (I dont know what its called - no longer lying flat). Nicks sent their installers who spent several hours fixing the problem areas. Once again, arriving when scheduled and leaving a clean work area.

I can't say enough about this company-I looked for several months to have a piece of carpet replaced due to a hot water leak. I call Nick's Flooring on Tuesday they sent some one on Wednesday-They were professional, polite and did a great job

This was a very large job divided into two parts. The company was recommended by another flooring company which was too busy, at the time, to take our job on. Nick, the owner came to our home to discuss our options. The downstairs area was prone to humidity; the old upstairs flooring was badly damaged from the previous owner's animals. Refinishing was not an option. Nick's crew was punctual, polite and efficient. All questions were answered. We are extremely pleased with the workmanship, selection and service. We were so happy with the company that they are doing another job for us at present.

We are going to be using them again to replace some carpeting on our second floor with hardwood after we get some remodeling done. We are very pleased with their work. They are always timely and they always clean up after themselves. The pricing is about average; it was a little less than another place we looked at. They are quality installers. They really have a nice selection of hardwoods. They are very punctual.

This time, it was upstairs hall/stairs, master bedroom and closet -- as part of an overall renovation. They didn't do tear-up of the old carpeting; I had my General Contractor do it duing the renovation. Nick's guys were clean, professional and on-time. A quality installation. I'd use them again.

In the familyroom, they had to remove not only the existing carpeting, padding, a layer of 1958 vinyl tiles and a 1/4and quot; plywood substraight that was on top of the original toungue and grooved sub-floor. They secured any lose sub-floor boards prior to installing the pre-finished flooring. In the livingroom, they only needed to remove the existing carpeting, padding and secure the sub-floor While we were able to move the smaller furniture out of both rooms ourselves, they moved and then returned the heavier items for us with NO extra costs. In fact, since the living room floor could not be walked on for a few days, they came back several days later to move the items back, including a large, heavy antique cabinet that is over 7 ft tall. They were prompt each day, courteous, neat and finished on time.

The vendor came to the home several times because of changes in plan. After agreeing in price, the work was done. All appointments were kept in a timely manner.

Sales experience was quick and efficient. Nick came on time with some samples. Price was not great, but competitive. Installation crew was supposed to be larger than two people, as a result was informed it might take longer than a day, but he was able to get it done in one long day. Quality of installation, outside of a cut alarm cable, was quite good and it came out great. They are an honest business as I informed them the alarm company will charge me for the cable replacement and they reduced the bill. The biggest issue is the overall communication, both written and verbal. Once you place the order, you receive a minimal written estimate with little detail on the warranty. Communication was always initiated by me. Overall the experience was good, and the only area for improvement is communication.

I liked everything about the process. They did the two rooms at about $3000 each and the total came to around $6000 for the job. They were on time for giving us the quote and worked with us on the cost. They combined the rooms we asked for to give us a discount. They were on time for the work. Their people were professional, neat and very polite. The billing was correct and so was everything else. I will be hiring them again on another project that I am waiting to get started on.

I found Nick's Flooring through Angie's Lise and saw they had a good track record. Nick arrived on time and was pleasant, but failed to follow through on the work order. He came and did a free estimate and said he would send me an email with that same estimate within 24 hours. I never received the estimate and when I called back to inquire a few days later, I was told that they don't send estimates to customers who don't pick out the carpet before or after the measurement. I happen to discuss this with Nick and he said it wouldn't be a problem. When I explained this, I was told I would get my estimate by 5pm that day. I didn't get it for another four days. Needless to say, didn't hire them based on lack of courtesy and responsiveness.

Due to a family issue out of state, we had to change the install dates, which effected their schedules. They had no problem re-working the dates to suit the dates we would be available. They arrived at least 15 minutes before their scheduled start time every day of the project. They moved the funriture that was too heavy for us to move into other rooms of the house and covered the areas near the work site to avoid tracking any additional mess into our house. They cleaned up at the close of each day and removed all old carpet etc from the house. The removal of the family room carpet and 2 layers of old floor was very difficult and messy, but you would never know it after they left. They were courtious and made some small changes as I requested to suit my taste. When it came to matching the color of thenew living room floor to the existing dining room, they worked with me to pick the exact stain and it matches perfectly. No small feat since the existing room floors are over 30 years old. When we decided not to use some additional trim around the fireplace, they credit it all back to my account with no re-stocking charges, even though they would have to return the pre-finished wood to the manufacturer. We plan to use them again to install the new floors in 2 additional rooms later this year.

They couldn’t have been nicer and more responsive. They quoted me $554 for the installation. They were excellent. They called to follow up and called to confirm the appointment. I would recommend them. I would definitely use them again if I had the opportunity.

They carpeted the entire rental unit. I would recommend them. We went to the shop and the guy made an effort to hook us up with a product which was a better quality that he had in stock because we needed it fast. Personally, I find the guy in the shop a man of few words. We were like, we really need this quickly and they were able to flex on the date that they came. We were pushing them to get here before the first of the month, which they did. They sent a couple guys out and they did a good clean job. My husband was saying how impressed he was with how hard they worked for what they got. We discussed that when we get around to what the next thing is we would go back to them.

We were quite pleased with the overall experience. The sales end was quick, pleasant and helpful. They didn't try to sell us something or push us to more expensive carpet. We didn't need anything fancy, so they did point us to their "stock" berber, which was actually perfect for our needs and colors (and $25/sq. yard installed with padding). We took a couple of days to decide, and they didn't pressure us at all. When we decided to go ahead, they scheduled us soon (I had to finish painting before the carpet could go in) and came on time. The installation went fine and looks great. The only niggling detail that has somewhat tempered my enthusiasm is that at the end of the installation, we were informed that one door (now off its hinges) needed to be trimmed, and another one's weather-stripping was dragging rather badly on the new carpet. And boom, they were gone. Fortunately, I am handy enough to deal with both doors in a reasonable fashion. The issue of door adjustments never came up in the process, quite probably my oversight (we went from a thin carpet glued right to the floor to a thicker carpet on top of padding; I should have anticipated door problems). Still, just leaving one door leaning against a wall and another with difficulty opening seemed less than thorough. But other than this one point, all went very well, and I would DEFINITELY start with them if we are in need of more carpeting or flooring.

They did a fast and efficient job. They were very easy to work with and made sure to answer all of my questions. They were able to get us exactly what we wanted and it looks great. I am very pleased and I would recommend them to other people for their professionalism and the price.
