The worst happened. They showed NO URGENCY for an obviously very sick cat. Took expensive bloodwork, no IV's or fluids, meds, nothing to make him feel a little better. No rush pn bloodwork. Called 2 days later to suggest another expensive test because they're too incompetent to figure anything out quickly, only for me to tell them that my cat had already died. Don't bring your pet there.

We've used them for years and years. They are a little on the high side but I;m happy with it because they belong with the ACA. I'd rather get the good service.

It was an emergency visit so it was expensive. Their hours are good. It's very easy to get an appointment. The front office is very professional as well as the veterinarians. I find them very easy to work with in terms of getting the dog's records and stuff like that. It's a good wait time and it usually averages maybe 15 minute wait in the waiting room. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. I like how they handle the animals. The price seems expensive to me.

We chose this provider mainly because it was 5 minutes from our home, and had generally positive reviews.
The phone/front desk staff is very friendly, very courteous, and they scheduled us for a visit within a couple of days.
The vet who initially examined our kitten (almost cat) was extremely professional and thorough. She diagnosed the rash as and quot;probably a food allergyand quot;, and prescribed medication and a switch to a dry hypoallergenic diet.
The doctor recommended a recheck in 10 days, but informed us that she was going to have surgery during that period and would be out for 6-7 weeks.
A fecal test was performed on a sample we brought in that day, and medication was prescribed, as well as a fecal re-test in a few weeks.
The treatment for the skin condition appeared to be working, and when we brought our cat in for the recheck 10 days later, a substitute (fill-in) vet examined our pet, not one of their regular staff. This person seemed disinterested at best. He wondered (as did I) how he could judge the progress of the treatment without having seen the cat before. I asked him if he thought we should continue on the hypoallergenic diet (EXTREMELY expensive), and his response was and quot;Try mixing in some of the regular cat food and see how it goesand quot;. 15 minutes (at best), thank you, goodbye.
Well, after a couple of weeks of the and quot;mixedand quot; diet, the lesions reappeared, and an ugly infection in our cat's mouth. When I called Madison Animal Hospital, very concerned about the deterioration of his condition, I was told (nicely) that they had no appointments for a couple of days and quot;unless you want to book this as an emergencyand quot;. and quot;Is there an additional charge?and quot; and quot;Yes, $30and quot;.
I have to interject here that the initial visit and recheck, with accompanying medications, was in excess of $300. I checked with a relative who is a DVM (in another city) who found Madison's rates to be be excessive, even allowing for the generally high cost of medicine in the NYC metro area. It seems (reading local online reviews) that the rates went up substantially when they became part of the VCA network, a veterinary management company.
Bottom line? Good doctors, excessive pricing.
Upon realizing int would cost so much for Madison to see the cat, and being unhappy with the fill-in vet we saw on our recheck visit, we decided to try another veterinary hospital with which we've been very happy. In a pinch, we would call Madison again, because of their courtesy and our excellent medical experience with the original doctor.
I must emphasize the B for quality is only because of the vet seen at the recheck; otherwise it would be an A.

I have been going to Madison Animal Hospital for many years. I have seen every vet that works there, over the years, and they all are great. They explain everything in detail and give you all the options to take, they support you in any decision you make, Jada loves going there, and they love having her there. Dr VanBeveren and Dr Erdman are excellent, For the prices..I think they are average with all the animal hospitals in the area.

We go there once in a couple of months. They are okay. They are pretty much on time. Our pets haven't had any serious issues. They are not cheap. We like the fact that they are on time and they stick to their appointment time.

They are good, but they are very expensive. I still go there because I have gotten to know my dogs vet that I use there.

Their efforts helped up keep our best friend around for as long as possible. Great staff and all around nice people. We switched vets because going over 45 miles each way to a vet just got too crazy.

It is excellent. They are great with communication, and they always call after I pick up my dog to ensure she is adjusting well.

I am pleased enough with this vet. I would call them maybe a little better than average in most situations. I think they could improve on their pricing a bit. I have no major complaints with them that come to mind currently.
