Every aspect of the job from start to finish was conducted in a professional manner. They studied the sun, shade and water receptivity of our property throughout the day for many days in order to properly place the plants. The owner was frequently on site to oversee the entire job. All of our inquiries were quickly answered or if they didn't know the answer, it was researched for a quick response. They really care about the quality of work and the final outcome. The job is never really completed as the owner frequently checks back on how the plants are doing and how everything looks as a whole. If the company owner or customer is not pleased, the plants will be rearranged, replanted, replaced or added to the garden(s). They strive for 100% customer satisfaction and have very high expectations.

It has been almost a year since design and installation and our front yard looks beautiful.

Susan always does a great job, i have used her for several projects for many years.  She always has great design ideas but also works with what we have in mind as well. She is professional as is her crew. Her knowledge of plants  and their characteristics is fantastic, which is key the sustainability of the work she does.

Susan is great to work with! She has an eye if an artist that brings beauty to gardens and landscaping. I am opinionated about things and was pretty clear on what I wanted. But Susan made suggestions that brought my piecemeal ideas into a beautiful vision. She suggested native NJ plants that would complement items that I already had. My beds are truly a dream come true thanks to Artistic!

Susan is very creative and artistic to your landscape layout and coming up with a plan to make it pretty.
However, in execution, the landscaper she works with, we found, does hasty work, has workers who don't effectively communicate with Susan, and as a result, multiple items that were to be saved or transplanted in the yard were discarded.  Some had sentimental value that is hard for my wife and I to get over.
In addition, the invoice you get at the onset is not indicative of final price. BEWARE!  She adds costs, many could have been saved with better planning.  For example, she insisted that a large holly tree in the front be removed and discarded.  Halfway into the work, she contacted me to request purchase of a brand new holly tree and installation fees (additional $600) three feet from where the original beautiful tree was and discarded!
This was shocking.  To the cost and ruin of perfectly good plantings and the memories you have of your home.
The landscapers she uses work sloppily, we found.  She does not portion of the installation.  Only the design.
If you use her, I would request very specific itemization of each new and old planting and its associated cost and be explicit that no added costs will be allowable.

It was very helpful. We will definitely use her in the future when we are ready to add charm to our drab yard.

Susan does an amazing job!  She is professional, thoughtful and goes above and beyond her duties to ensure that our garden looks the best that it can.  She took our overgrown, unsightly landscaping and created a tranquil, beautiful garden.  She is extremely thoughtful in her designs and has an incredible eye for beauty.  Susan listened to what we wanted and chose the perfect plants for us.  
Susan's team is courteous and professional.  They show up when they say they will and work hard to get the plantings done correctly and in a timely manner.  Susan is very hands on - she gets her hands dirty and takes real pride in her work.  Sometimes I'll notice her truck outside on the street - and then see her pruning or watering a new plant.  She really gave our garden her personal attention and love - and it shows.
Our neighbor saw the garden that Susan designed for us and hired her to re-work her landscaping, as well.  I tracked her down from a sign in front of an amazing garden...her work is so beautiful that it catches your eye as you're driving down the road.  She has a true gift and is a pleasure to work with in every way!  
Susan works hard and her services are priced fairly.  She goes above and beyond and is super helpful in all aspects of the design and planting process.

Artistic Landscaping, Susan Manna, did an amazing job of landscaping my side and back yard in Summer of 2013. The side is all shade and the back is all sun. She designed a gorgeous plan that complimented my 100 year old Craftsman Tutor. She also made sure the plants, trees, and shrubbery would thrive in the setting. She added stones and natural decor to compliment the setting. She was thorough and very interested in what we wanted and our needs. She went through each piece of the plan in detail. The her quote was right on and no surprises and always told us additional fees or changes before doing anything. The landscape was installed easily and professionally. We had her do in a very short amount of time for a big party we were having. She not only completed it, but came back several times before the party to make sure it was perfect. And in fall she came and did some trimming and maintenance to the landscaping without me asking or her charging a fee. In addition, she designed a really cool table for my patio out of natural stone. HUGE hit and absolutely gorgeous. Artistic Landscaping will be doing many more projects for us in the future. Susan Manna was professional, reasonable and so respectful of our opinions and property. I give her 5 Gold Stars plus!!!

It's easy to communicate with Susan and she works well by exchanging ideas in person and over email. She matches flowers to the house instead of choosing what looks good on its own. She also worked with a masonry team well to incorporate our vision.
After the hot summer, the original flowers didn't last because they received more than the expected amount of sun, so she replaced with another type (at no cost), which we thought worked well for our look. Susan cares about her customers even after the job is complete and is always looking after us and making suggestions. We highly recommend Susan.

Susan spent time at my house observing how/where the sun hit the gardens, then discussed, designed and planted accordingly.
