Overall, the Excel Modular Home product is excellent. The foundation of the home is the problem. The contractor left us with a wet, dank, moldy, musty basement. The basement took water after the first rain in November 2005. There is only one sump pump for a 1,500 sq.ft. basement. We alerted the contractor right away. He came back once and said he would return to grade the land and install a second sump pump in the Spring. He said I could count on his return because he put up a $1,000 bond with the township. But he never returned. We waited until Spring 2006. He was busy building homes at the Jersey Shore and neglected our property. By summer the black mold, and dank odor consumed us. I called weekly, daily and Mark broke every promise. It's November 2006, a year later, and now at our own expense we are trying to remedy the situation. We want to take him to court to get our money back. We were guaranteed a dry basement the first year. We never had that, and he is a liar.
