The owner of the company, Jimmy, made 2 visits to the house to see the job. i told him that i want him to correct the poor job the previous owner did with finishes as well as patch up all the holes the A/V installer is going to make as I was getting wiring done. At first I was going to paint certain walls in certain rooms, The owner Jimmy assured me that I will be happy and get a good finish , so then decided to paint the entire house. He even said he includes an hour with a "color consultant" who after spending the hour with my wife, reccommended my wife to pick certain finish. Jimmy then says she is an "idiot" and doesn't know what she is saying. If that is the case then why would he send this "color consultant" to us? We went ahead and still continued the work. Jimmy does not even know what he promised or agreed on the contract that he and I signed. At times he would say that this is not included when it was clearly on the contract. He did not even instruct his employees what has to be done. The work was so bad that they had to repaint certain walls again as they forgot to sand certain area properly after closing up the holes they were suppose to do. The job was going so slow. they only had 3 guys painting when they should of had at least 6 as they were to complete the job in 10 days. They did not even protect the furniture or the rest of the house and started sanding without any care even after I explained that my wife and child have allergies. There was dust through out the entire house. I called Jimmy and told him that the dust is all over the kitchen, and all over the appliances that were on the counter. i told him that he will have to clean it or send a cleaning service to do so. I told him to come the next day to take a look for him self. Instead of showing up the next day and taking a look at the mess they have left, his guys started packing up all of their stThe worst part is that they just packed up all their stuff and abandoned the job without notice. they left the house completely dirty and unfinished. The owner Jimmy was not decent enough to give me a call to discuss or even let me know that he would be leaving. Both me and my wife are so upset with the way this guy just up and left. I would not recommend this painting company at all to anyone. If you value your hard money then please do not risk it with this unprofessional and shady man/company. I have paid him more than the amount of work that was done. I will be adding pictures of the horrible finishes. I want monies back as have to fix the horrible job that he has done. The owner of the company signed a contract to repair all the holes that were made by an audio/video installer. That was not completed. The workmanship that he claims to follow the "PDCA Standard " is exactly what I did not receive. I urge any and all people reading this review seriously consider not entertaining or hiring this unprofessional fly by night company.

Punctual, neat, tidy - just wonderful. Seamlessly removed wallpaper, painted rooms (including 1-wood paneled room and 1- laminate paneled room). Excellent work! Highly Recommend hiring J. Canabe Painters!

We could not be more thrilled with the work completed in our home. Heber and is team were professionals and completed the work quickly (11 large rooms including a two story entry and refinishing a wood mantel) in 6 days. The work was neat and Brian made sure we were happy with how things were going along the way. They weren't the most inexpensive but they did a high quality job, very quick so well worth it!! Highly recommend them and will use them again for sure if/when we need work done.

The trim was fine. The painting quality was okay in some parts and was not very well done in other parts. It seemed like they didn't sand it properly. They were a lead epa certified company and after they left I had the soil tested and it was 2-4 times more than the allowable level. I contacted them about cleaning up before I paid them. They  sent a supervisor out to take pictures. I felt assured since he was out they would follow up. I paid them and once the payment cleared they have stopped responding. I paid so much more to ensure that this was a epa lead certified company and now they just aren't following up to clean up properly.

Canabe was great to work with. It's a pleasure to deal with a company that takes customer service seriously. They arrived on the day they said they would and finished the job early. They were organized and clear on what they were doing. There was only one possible oversight (on either our or their part) in the large job which they addressed immediately and without push back. One of the best contractor experiences we've had.

J. Canabe's was wonderful from start to finish. Very professional, fairly priced and do quality work. Will be using them again for more wallpaper removal and painting!

Excellent! Hard-working, clean and pleasant professional crews (Martin was my team's leader and he was a gem).
What's especially appealing about J. Canabe is how much they really care. I hired a color expert (the former creative director of a MAJOR paint manufacturer). Although her recommendations were generally excellent, there was one selection she made that just wasn't smart: high gloss, dark walls in a stair hall. J. Canabe advised me against it but I didn't listen.  Big mistake. Had to redo it at my expense.
While the painters didn't get everything right the first time, they were great at acknowledging what wasn't right and correcting it quickly and without complaint. When touchups were needed, I didn't have to wait three weeks for them to return; generally, they were back in within a day or two.
I would hire them again. Highly recommended. 

This is the second time we've used J. Canabe and they're great!  The painters are always on time and very professional.  They helped me to choose the proper finishes for the paint and took their time to do it right.  I highly recommend them!

I have used them before and was very satisfied. This time was no exception! They are very clean and fast. Do a great job. Nice guys who go the extra mile, helped me hang some mirrors, etc, too.

Office staff were very friendly and responsive. They worked with us in splitting the work between two dates so we could defer painting the ceilings until after our electrician came to install ceiling lights. Painters performed very high quality work and were very professional. They spackled, sanded and fixed all the imperfections in the walls. We noticed a ceiling crack that hadn't been fixed and they scheduled another day to come even it out and repaint the area. No complaints or questions asked from their side! They definitely want you to have a positive experience.
The work was a little on the pricy side, but definitely worth it!

Prompt, professional, and courteous.  Great communication before, during, and after the scheduled service.  Quality result, and flexible staff, willing to work with us every step of the way.  I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have the job done right at a reasonable cost.

The person who did the assessment of work appointment was punctual and professional.  The cost was sent over via e-mail as arranged quickly and they fit my job in prior to Thanksgiving.  Two workers arrived at exactly the time arranged at 8am and I gave them my paint color with the color form they asked me to fill out.  The paint job looks amazing and all of the drywall repairs in the ceiling and on several walls looks amazing!  I'm so pleased with the work and professionalism.  I guess you get what you pay for.  My job was completed in 1 day as promised.  
I will definitely use them again.

They did a great job. They were very responsive to setting up a visit & proposal. They came on time, made sure all the furniture was protected as well as the floors and carpeting.  They were able to finish painting my condo in 2 days.  They put everything back. The condo was clean & looked great.  I am very happy with their services.

Awesome professionalism!  First, we were presented with an exceeding reasonable price.  Next, we were promised a prompt start date - and the workers arrived promptly, on time.  They went out of their way not to be in our way!  They also took efforts to ensure that furniture and possessions were moved/protected, and stains from Hurricane Sandy were readily repaired and all signs of damage smoothly disappeared.  I sincerely wish that all of our contractors were as efficient and industrious!

The actual job went great!  The workers were punctual and thorough and clean.  This job required the workers to go through the basement apartment since this was the only access to the yard.  Tarps were placed in the back yard to catch the flaking paint that was wire brushed off and the apartment was clean when the work was inspected at the end of every workday. 
The only problem we had was with a miscommunication with the proposal. The price reflected each fire escape instead of a total amount.  This was quickly rectified and the job proceeded quickly after.

Excellent Job. Work crew arrived on time everyday. Job took a full week but was well worth the wait. Acoustic Tiles from the ceilings of Foyer and Bathroom were removed and sheetrocked over and painted. They did a very professional job. Crew was very considerate in protecting all furnishings and floors. Cleaned up every day before they left. I would hire them again. Excellent Excellent Job.
