Bergen Brakes & Mufflers

I've gone to them more than once because the service is excellent. They are honest. They go stuff by stuff. They explain all our needs and they take the time to fix it. They are not cheap but they are not expensive. If you wanted to, you could bring your own parts. They don't mind. If you bring your own parts, they'll only charge for labor. I found them on Angie's List. Sometimes, they can keep you all day when you don't need to. The issue is sometimes they can forget about you. They are honest. Sometimes, it will be all day for something small. Sometimes, you have to wait until almost they close inorder to get a call from them that I can get the car. I would absolutely use them in the future.

They are wonderful and terrific. They are cheaper and great. They do auto maintenance. They are the best. They are very reasonable and they are great guys. They are nice to talk to. It is like an old fashioned neighborhood place and everybody over there knows you. We spent around $620 including the tax. They are very responsive. I took my car to them once and I was afraid to drive it because I didn’t know what was happening. There was some kind of a rattle going on. So, they asked me to bring it in. I drove all the way and they put it right up on the lift right away. I had never seen anything like that before. They squeezed me right in. They checked it out and drove it and determined that it was safe to drive. There was some minor thing. They checked underneath and looked all over. There was a little piece of metal that was rubbing against the tire and they bent it away from it. They asked me to come right in and that really impressed me. The place where my husband works, everybody over there takes their cars to Bergen Brakes and Mufflers because these guys are so great. They are really reliable and very reasonable. They are nice guys and you can talk to them. Some places look down on you because you are a woman and they don’t think you know what you are talking about, but these guys are not like that at all. They are nice guys. They don’t laugh at me when I make a description of the noise. We would definitely use their services in the future too.

I had to change the old battery in my 99 Galant. Seemed like an easy thing to do. I went to an auto store and they did it for me in 40 min. Unfortunetely, as it happens with old cars something else stopped working. The engine in my car started shutting down whenever in idle. So if I had to stop at the traffic light, or if I had to brake before making a sharp turn, the engine would shut off. I wne t back to the place that changed the battery, but they were no help. so after reading reviews I found this place in Lyndhurst. So long story short, I showed up at this place, they listen to me, and without any dealy they got to work. They did not really need to put the car on the lift, just though good diagnostic, they found what was wrong with the car. I am not a really techy guy, but there were something wrong with the way fuel was getting to the engine. It took them 30 mins to fix it, and I had paid $25. Overall, it was a bargain. GREAT JOB!!!
