RICHARD MAY TREE SVC

Doug and his crew are as professional and knowledgable as they come. We don't live in a wooded area, but have a number trees on our property with good privacy. Some needed to be trimmed or even removed due to disease or dead growth. We had concerns about losing coverage for privacy and shade, but he was spot on with his approach and addressing our concerns. It feels like a new backyard and I won't have to be maintaining the yard for debris anywhere near as much as I am used to. We appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into the project.

The team came, cut and left with all the tree pieces. The area was left quite neat and tidy. I thought the price was a little high, but the quality of the work was exceptional.

Great. They came right out for an estimate and took care of it very quickly. Very professional and cleaned up after themselves. Price was somewhat steep, but for them to come out on very short notice and take care of storm damage right away it's going to cost money.

I wanted to get rid of it because I needed to put a plant in its place. I called on Thursday and Friday morning Dan (I believe was his name) came out to look at it. Before I knew it, he was finishing digging it out (I had already started). It took him about 10 minutes and when he was done, he said, "No charge!" I will DEFINITELY be using them again for bigger jobs that come along and will also be recommending them to my family/friends. That 10 minutes of kindness made me a customer for life.

Our service perfoemance was top grade.  May Tree Service made our 4 huge, old trees look fresh again and got them away from the electrical lines which they had grown around.
The local power company, PSE&G (NJ), had hired a really lousy tree service which had mangled every otheer tree on our block.  I stopped them from touching our trees and immediately called May's on recommendation from Angie's List.
I recommend May Tree Service without reservation.

Very professional. Courteous. Highly recommended. The owner, Rich, came out to give me an estimate impressively fast. He knows his line of work and is also a very personable gentleman. His office staff and crew are equally professional and courteous. The tree service work done was definitely to my liking. Clean-up was impeccable. I would use this tree service again. The wait time between receiving the estimate and having the work done was a bit extended because of the rainy August weather and the late summer demand by others for tree service work. Overall, this was a top-notch outfit and I strongly recommend it.

They came out immediately to provide an estimate which was the same price as another service that I had used in the past. They said they would call in about two weeks to schedule a firm day for the service. They called about ten days later and came out that day to perform the service. The did a good job pruning the trees and cleaned up and removed the debris when they were done. The amount of cutting required on the largest tree to prevent future damage was much larger than I expected - the change was drastic. The job is generally well done but I think they could have taken a little more time to prune a few more "stray" branches - just to improve the overall appearance. I also wish they had been more clear about the amount of trimming that was required - just so would have been prepared.
