Competitive Heating & Air Conditioning

This company has no respect for your home and lacks the ability to properly complete a job. Our wall unit had to be removed to be repaired and then the same unit rehunge on the bracket that remained on the wall. Workers were asked to wear shoe protection or put down a barrier to protect our persian rug but they didn’t, tracking in black mulch all over the edges of the rug. An appointment was requested for someone different than the installer to inspect the job as it was obvious from the paint and sealer lines that the air conditioner was not on the bracket the same way. They sent the same person on a different day than scheduled who did not fix the problem. I called and asked the answering service to leave a message for the manager as I was frustrated and upset that they did not send someone else out and the air conditioner was still not right. The owner Mark called me, but we did not have a conversation. He just ranted that “I am sick of your p****** and moaning. You will never be happy. I have no ties to you. Find someone else to service your air conditioner.” I am including the pictures so you can determine for yourself if you want them in your home.

So far, very well.

Competitive did a great job! Responded within 4 hours after our AC failed. The tech quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it on the spot! AC was back up and running during this 90 degree F weather.

I was very impressed with the service and promptness of Juan. I explained exactly what caused the problem and did not try to hide the simple truth. I would recommend Competitive their services.

It went fabulous. They did everything they said on time and at the right price. They were very clean and everything was immaculate.

Called them before they opened and got an answering service rather than voicemail which was a plus. They took the message and someone called me back as soon as they opened.  They sent a service tech right over who diagnosed the problem and corrected it. He was very professional and courteous. Will definitely use them again.

Install went well, workers very neat and efficient. Explained everything to me about the install and how it operates. The office, Beth, made the rebate applications easy.  All in all, very well.

They do have an internet preference.  I'm very happy with them.  In fact, my daughter used them when she owned two different homes.  She used them, and they even did an oil to gas conversion for her in the first home.  I went on her recommendation, and I've never been sorry in all these years.  They charged the system with cooling.  That's what it was.  There was a service charge, because I don't have a service contract.  They are so responsible and responsive.  Also, they keep their appointments.  They give you a call before they show up at your door.  Their service price is might be a little bit better than other company.  Maybe because I'm a long time customer.  I don't know.  The first guy who came to charge the system overcharged it.  I had to call them again, and there was absolutely no charge.  That was a recommendation.  I would absolutely use them again in the future.  I contact them by phone and by email, and they were so responsive even on the email.  That's unusual for this kind of work.  It's unusual for plumbers, electricians and so forth that they can use emails.  These people are wonderful!

I called this morning and had service in four hours. The representative and Jose- the workman- were very nice. It was a completely pleasant experience. My system was in good shape, but Jose went the extra mile to provide helpful tips (turn air filter so arrow faces heater, outside unit "grill" top can be restored and repainted-cover your house and turn off unit before spraying, cover returns on lower level with magnet cover to force the unit to draw out the heat on higher levels during hotter months). He asked if I wanted the tips and if I and any questions. No question went unanswered. After the refrigerant  was added, I felt the difference in the air immediately. Thirty minutes later, I REALLY feel the difference and it was set to two degrees WARMER than what I normally keep it at. And it feels COOLER than when I had it at that setting. 

Jose was efficient and completed the work in about 40 minutes. Competitive's price quotes were comparable to other companies, but the representatives and workman all took the time to explain the process and followed-up. All the staff was professional and courteous. I felt very comfortable choosing Competitive Heating and Air, am so glad I did, and would use them again.

The owner arrived on time and spent an appropriate amount of time surveying the house. I received the written bid by mail in two days. After further research I decided to purchase another brand from a competitor.

I left a message with a very nice person requesting an estimate for the installation of ductwork and central air. I did not receive a return call. Perhaps it was because we were in the middle of the summer heat wave but I didn't even receive a call/message stating that they were too busy with repair calls to provide estimate services at that time.

I used to have a full service oil company do my maintenance and I paid though the nose for it! now I get Competive Heating to do the work and I get the same service at half the cost plus I help keep a local business going.

They are just awesome. They are very reliable and their work is done very well. Their prices are very competitive and all of the times that I have used them, I have been very pleased.
