I hired Tony from Residential Remodelers to remove mold from my attic.  The week before he performed the mold removal he came down to look at the attic and give me an estimate.  The estimate was reasonable so I hired him.  He said that he would be over around 10 AM.  I actually called the office to see if he was coming.  He arrived with his brother after 11AM.  After working for 2 hours he went to lunch for 2 hours.  After 90 minutes I called him to see if he was coming back.  He said that he had to pick up chemicals and pick up garbage bags to dispose of my insulation, which I would have thought that he would have picked up before he got to my house in the morning.  I had double insulated a portion of my attic so Tony kept complaining about how much extra time it?s taking to remove the insulation.  It was the same insulation that was up there when he gave me the estimate.  So around 3PM he actually started removing the mold.  After the mold removal he needed to spray the attic with a chemical which would  prevent the mold from returning.  While doing this you cannot be home because the chemical has a strong odor.  At around 7PM he started the spraying process so I had to get my wife and 1 year old and 4 year old out of the house for an hour.  My kids usually go to bed at 7PM.  Because of him starting the job late and 2 hour lunch my family had to sleep with the windows open in March because of the odor.  If he would have started the job early like promised and took an hour lunch I could have aired the house before bed time.
He offered at a reduced price to perform a mold inspection after the mold removal.   I found out that it?s a conflict of interest for the guy removing the mold to perform a mold test. I had to call him multiple times to get him back to perform the mold test.  If I did not already pay for the test I would have had an unbiased third party perform the test.  I was not home while he performed the test
but while performing the test in the living room he was scaring my wife into thinking that there might be mold in our living area because we put the boxes from the attic into the garage; which meant that we carried the boxes through the house.  Tony recommended that we empty the attic as much as possible before the job and put everything in the garage.  When I received his mold report my name and address was not included in the mold report.  I had to call the office to have them change the report to include my name and address.  Tony took air samples from the attic, living room and outdoors.  I noticed that when Tony performed the test he did not take equal amounts of air from the 3 air samples.  The sample taken from the attic was considerably less than the other areas.  Meaning if there was mold left in the attic it would not show up as much on the test.  After seeing this I hired an inspector to perform the test.  The inspector was not too happy with the job done in the attic but at least the mold was removed.  The inspector took equal samples from the same areas.   I am giving him a C and not a D because the
mold was removed but I did not appreciate his work ethics.

Since it would involve a law suit against the original installers, Anthony Charles was willing to reattach the glass structure for an extremely high price. He was also going to write a report to our lawyer stating that the structure became unattached due to faulty original construction. Anthony Charles also stated he would resize our blinds that no longer fit in our sunroom due to added support beams. Also, Mr. Charles stated he would replace a costly window that was damaged. After securing the sunroom to our house, Anthony cashed our check. After several phone calls, Mr. Charles finally returned our calls and stated the expensive damaged window has been ordered and he was looking into getting the blinds resized. After several phone calls later, Anthony Charles has yet to return our call. He has not replaced the window, resized the window treatments, nor written the report stating the errors in the original faulty construction.
