We brought our Honda to this mechanic because they specialized in transmissions and ours was blown. They took about a week to fix, which we were totally fine with, and they said they'd stand by their work for a year and then some, and to bring the car in after a week to make sure things were running smoothly. The car had to go back three times because it was leaking transmission fluid. Every time we got it back, it was fine for a day, and then I had to bring it back. The leaks stained our drive way (which they tried to clean but not real well) and we had spent over $2,000 for a repair that took nearly a month to really be properly fixed. The owner got aggravated with us because we didn't understand how it takes four tries to get something that you specialize in right. He said he was just frustrated that it wasn't fixed, but his problem turned into our. They ended up fixing it in the end, but the aggravation and loss of our car for so many weeks, in and out of the shop, plus their attitude, made us not want to return. While the car was there, we also got an oil change which they charged $40 for. I thought that was a little expensive for a basic oil change (I didn't know the cost prior, thought maybe $20 - $30). They didn't do anything special, it was just a standard oil change.

"when we do any major transmission repair we always ask customer to come back for a leak check in a week to ten days.unfortunatly the trans had a leak that was taken care of immediatly after the car was brought back. the other problem was that there was a small amount of fluid left on the frame that leaked on the driveway after the repair. i dont recal that the car was left any more than an other day or two so that we could make sure theyre were no further leaks. i also sent a man to the house to clean there driveway. as for the oil change we get 37 plus tax which is not an over charge. i even offered a free oil change at next service because of there iconvience. we try to make every one happy this customer was unhappy from the start and not much was going to make her happy after the minor leak"
