Proven Contracting

We needed a new roof and didn't want to go back to our former contractor. Instead, we called Proven and the work was first-rate. Ryan's crew was here promptly and did a really great job on both sections of the roof (asphalt shingles and rolled membrane product),. They also replaced some cedar shakes that had to be removed in the process. And later, they returned to replace some trim along the eaves and to handle a couple of minor shingle repalrs on a different section of the house. I'm a perfectionist. And am very happy.

I can't say enough to describe the great experience we had with Proven Contracting. Cory gave us a great estimate. With winter on the way and rain in the forecast, our appointment was perfect. The crew did excellent work with top of the line materials. Our roof looks great and there was no debris in our yard; not even a stray nail. Need a roof? Call Proven Contracting! I compared Proven Contracting's estimate with 3 or 4 other contractors. Their price wasn't the absolute cheapest, but their response to questions were complete and their price quoted reasonable. We have a large home, over 3200 sq. ft. and the roof is expansive. It is Victorian in style, but has had a major addition added that includes a basement workroom, another room that we use for my mom, then later the twins with an attached complete bathroom. Upstairs is a full large bedroom with a complete bath & 11 foot ceilings. Both of the rooms on the main floor and the second floor have fireplaces. This was a large addition with a different roof line than the rest of the home which was built in the 1930's. Over my daughter's room is a tower which took literally a whole day for them to finish, because of the many angles and varying angles. They completed this job in less than 2 days, used a magnet to sweep for random nails, so we wouldn't get flat tires. They paid for the dumpster, which came the day before the job started, and was hauled away the day after it was finished. They also repaired siding which was bowing out, and at our request, replaced facings which were rotted or missing. (Thanks Hurricane Sandy) In the Spring, I intend to contact them for shields for my gutters, which accumulate a lot of leaves and debris from the oak trees adjacent to the house.

We purchased our home knowing the roof was in disrepair and contacted Proven Contracting (Ryan) after a couple referrals from friends. Our roof is quite large and we wanted to ensure we put a product on that provided us and the next owner a great deal of security for years to come (do it right once...) 

Ryan's initial consultation provided a great deal of information and was far superior than other roofing contractors we received estimates from. 

His crew tore off the entire roof, replaced rotted sheathing where needed and installed a gorgeous Owens Corning 50 yr roof. They added new venting so attic was properly ventilated and repaired and replaced any exhaust pipes that needed it.

He's passionate about his work and they stand behind it! I could not be more pleased with the outcome, the professionalism or the experience as a whole. 

Work was done promptly and professionally.  One of the owners, Ryan Watson, was very responsive to all of our questions and requirements.  At the time of estimate/proposal, Proven Contracting took the time to really think about how they were going to approach my project, particularly ice damming issues that we were experiencing.  Proven proposing installing ridge vents and attic fans with humidistat sensors to hopefully address this issue along with an extra row of ice and water shield material in areas where we had experienced ice damming.  Proven also suggested using a different material on the flat section of our roof instead of shingles saying this was a more effective way to re-roof a flat roof (only one other contractor had proposed something similar).   No other roofing contractor put as much time and thought into this project as Ryan and Proven did.  Although Proven was a little more expensive than other quotes we received, I think the quality of their work and attention to detail made the extra expense worth it.

I'm catching up on putting in 3 well-deserved, 'excellent' reviews for 3 different companies that I've used in the past 2-3 months. Proven Roofing is one of the 3. The service and integrity were EXCELLENT. I was buying a new home and the inspector said that the roof wouldn't last another snow storm, pointing out various issues. I called a few well-rated roofers from different websites and they all wanted to charge a high fee for the estimate, worrying that I was only using them to get the price for the house reduced. Corey Zeller of Proven Roofing didn't hesitate to go there, provide a detailed assessment and estimate, and then went on to provide what I think sets the bar very high for professionalism and service -- very responsive, even provided info to my realty attorney for me, took pictures of the plywood that was replaced, etc. There was no charge for any of this. There was no sense of 'doing me a favor' that I would have to 'return' by choosing his company. No hard sell. He also explained the higher quality products that they used. When those products were delivered, I took pictures of them and did some research on the web and ... the cost and quality were higher.

The seller and I were going to split the cost down the middle and ... the seller had their well-respected roofing company provide an estimate. It was $10,000 versus Proven Roofing's $12,000. Actual difference, though, was $1800 because Proven Roofing paid for the permit and threw in the first few plywood if they needed replacing. When I asked for a detailed comparison of what justified the extra $1800 over the other roofer, Proven Roofing went through each of the 2 bids and showed the difference between the chosen products. Again, there was no hard sell. I decided that I wanted the higher quality plus the professionalism and reliability. Proven Roofing delivered -- pre-sale, during the actual roof replacement, cleanup, and then provided information after the work was done. Excellent company.

Proven Roofing replaced my gutters which were falling apart! They were very professional and have done fantastic job on time within budget. Ryan came around to give us a free estimate which was reasonable and we instantly knew we would hire them based on their friendly professional attitude.
We will be hiring them again to replace our roof shortly. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Ryan and his partner and workers were terrific. Their proposal was a bit higher than the others we got, but just talking to him you felt confident that his crew would do a great job. And they did. He even changed his schedule to accommodate me.
One of the reasons we hired Proven was Ryan said he would be on site for most of the job and he was. We had some small surprises (my house is almost 150 years old), but Ryan was there to explain what he found and what needed to be done.
The roof came out great. My neighbors have commented on how nice it looks. They worked quickly and did a great job cleaning up. I would recommend them highly.

My roof was old and in need of replacement, so I called a few companies I found in local advertisements and compiled some quotes. The price I was quoted was on the high side compared to the others however, I was impressed with the profesionalism and the expertise of the owner who came out to measure. The work was completed in a timely matter and my property was cleaned up beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend.

The roof was old. damaged by Sandy and needed replacement. I was completely impressed with the attention, supervision and professionalism of the one owner, Dave, that oversaw the complete job. He was joined by another owner, Ryan, who was equally professional. The job was done in a much shorter time frame than I had hoped. I was especially impressed with the care the workers took in protecting my property and landscaping, and the subsequent clean up. I can recommend them with complete confidence.

I am very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism of this company. Ryan, one of the owners provided great customer service and was present during all aspects of the work to make sure everything was done properly and to my satisfaction. Dave, another one of the owners was equally as professional and attentive. This job was more difficult and labor intensive than your typical roof since this is a very old house built in the 1930's and was in dire need of a new roof. There was missing fascia and rotted wood. The crew that arrived was very experienced and worked very hard until every aspect of the job was completed. Even though the crew was excellent the owner was there to make sure everything was done right. I am convinced this company will stand behind their work and I would highly recommend them.

The entire process from start to finish with my roof install was surprisingly stress free. Im always pretty nervous about getting work done on my house, regardless of how small or large the project may be. I have heard some real nightmare stories and read about plenty of them here on the site. I have to say my experience with Proven Roofing was great. I had gotten a couple estimates and was about to move forward with another company when I got a flyer in the mail from them. I thought it couldn't hurt to get one more estimate so I called the number. The guy who came out was very nice and actually explained a couple products he offered and some of the pros and cons of them. He was extremely knowledgeable and did a thorough inspection of my roof, not just outside but also in my attic. He made me feel very comfortable with the entire process and what i could and should expect. He put me at ease, and even though his price was a little higher than the other quotes i received I decided to move forward with him. The install was about a week later and took 1 day. The crew showed up around 8 in the morning, and the owner of the company came and introduced me to the Forman of the crew. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to call if there was anything that I needed or if i had any questions or concerns with the install. The crew was very professional and really hard working, they finished my roof that same day and cleaned up my entire property. I was truly impressed with them from start to finish and I would absolutely recommend them to anybody.
