Michael Corvelli Plumbing arrived within an hour of my call and repaired two toilets - very professional.
I would recommend Michael Corvelli Plumbing !
From the beginning; the process was very smooth and service dates/times were offered quickly. Michael called to follow up as promised, arrived on time (actually early) and professionally assessed the situation. In addition to looking at the toilet experiencing problems, he also inspected the other toilet in my home to make sure it was functioning properly. Toilet repair included snaking the drain to clear any obstructions. Work and service were performed quickly, professionally and cleanly. Would definitely use Corvelli again in the future for any plumbing needs.
I asked him for an estimate to replace our hot water heater since i was so pleased with his work.
He was punctual and friendly, and he spent about 30 minutes walking the house with me and asking questions so he could get a feel for how the pipes were likely routed. He did this so as to minimize how much destruction had to be done to try to find the source of the clog. The rooter company had prepared us that the job would be a big one involving cut open walls, and Mike made sure that we knew what he would likely need to do each step of the way along with an estimate of how much it would cost and why he was doing it so that there were no surprises. It was clear that we were dealing with a professional whose time and efforts were valuable, and who didn't feel any need to try to take advantage. After identifying the source of the clog (a fully stopped up pipe, compounded and perhaps initially caused by a terrible DIY plumbing fix) and showing it to me, Mike was quick to remedy the problem. That initial visit cost about $1300, and included diagnosing and fixing the upstairs clog and capping off the upstairs sink. We'll need to get a contractor in to repair the floor and walls before the sink is re-attached, but we knew that going in. In that visit, Mike also opened up the downstairs bathroom wall for us so that we could let it dry out and determine whether or not fixing the upstairs clog completely resolved the downstairs problem. He spent a lot of time with me showing me what to look for, providing specific examples via photos on his iphone.
After a few days, we were dry and ready to test, and due to work schedules it wasn't until 9:00 at night. We figured out we had still had a leak, and a fairly significant one. Mike took my call at 9:30 PM, no qualms, asked a few questions, and scheduled time to come back out. For that appointment, he cut out and replaced a 6-8' length of copper pipe at least 6" in diameter, identifying a huge crack up the side closest to the exterior of the house (and otherwise hidden had he not thought to open up the wall and test). It was heavy, difficult work, and included opening up the wall more than we had thought and even removing some framing. He kept everything as neat as possible, saving what he could so as to reduce our carpentry repair costs. I have no qualms about recommending him!
From our earlier Sunday conversation post patch work we agreed that he would return on Monday morning to finish the replacement. A patch was put in place for immediate restoral as Mike was already on another job that he left to fix our issue. It was a relief to receive Mike's quick service and understanding of the situation.
On Monday morning I received a call from Mike that he would arrive as expected. The punctuality of his service is beyond exceptional!
After arriving we assessed the piping and determined the parts needed. Mike returned to his truck to grab all necessary parts and we began the work.
During the work period Mike identified other quick observations to two other outdoor faucets that were never working from the original purchase of the house. After educating me on the cutoff value and confirmation they do not leak we added two additional values!
The parts used were high quality and confirmed to me that the job wasn't going to be a half effort.
His professionalism and explanation over many of the actions performed was greatly appreciated. I HIGHLY recommend using Mike for all plumbing and heating services in the future!
I sent Mike Corvelli Plumbing & Heating an email through Angie's List "site" regarding the work I needed done. He called me back within a half hour to discuss what I wanted to do and make arrangements to stop by to view the job. Mike arrived promptly and after discussing the job, he offered suggestions and made sure he understood what I wanted completed. He then provided an estimate and I accepted it.
Mike is a 3rd generation plumber in his business which impressed me. A date was set for the work to be completed. On the date the work was scheduled to be completed, Mike called first to let me know he was on his way and arrived early. He went straight to work. I tagged along while he was working and noticed his great attention to detail. I like that as well as his professional manner.
When the work was completed, he ran through what he did and asked if I had any questions. Mike's price was fair & competitive compared to other estimates I received. I went with Mike because of the knowledgeable and professional impression he made while discussing the job. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend his services.
