Cronin Hardwood Floor, Inc. has been providing the tri-state area with 99% dust free sanding, staining, bleaching and refinishing of hardwood floors as well as custom installations since 2002. We are a fully licensed and insured company and do not use any sub-contractors. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and offer flexible scheduling to help your project move as smoothly as possible. Our team is dedicated to ensure that our customers receive quality workmanship to bring out the beauty in old and new hardwood floors.

We bought a four bedroom, two story home in Ridgewood that had very dated hardwoods throughout. In fact the floors had an orange look to them. After several quotes (and one company that ghosted us) we spoke to John Cronin. He was thorough, walked us through an entire plan for moving out and shifting furniture so we could have the entire house sanded and newly stained as well as a brand new floor installed in our family room. The price was good. The work was even better. John's crew was at our home each day, on time and the job was completed on time. We could not be happier and would recommend John and his team to anyone.

We couldn't be more satisfied. John arrived with a sample board that allowed us to rethink our original ideas of flooring. He later brought us actual floor boards so we could choose size and color. We went with the tulip Collection Butterscotch in 2 1/4" and they look lovely. Scheduling and communication through Megan and Rachel in the office went smoothly. The crew, Joshua and Casper arrived when they said they would and cleaned up every day when they left. John checked in daily for he first couple of days. They helped us pick base boards and shoe which they installed and primed. They finished a whole day early. The floors look stunning. we are very happy.

John Cronin and his crew are the absolute best there is!!! We have used them in the past for a home that was 100+ years old and we used them again to install oak floors in 4 bedrooms & vinyl plank throughout our basement in the home we just bought. They have very high quality standards and are knowledgeable, responsive, conscientious and get the work done on schedule. The results in our home are spectacular. Thank you John for a job well done! I had the floors refinished in 5 rooms plus one flight of stairs. The job went so smoothly. John was quick and punctual when providing the estimate. The gentlemen who spent the week in my house doing the work were friendly, professional and punctual. The final product is beautiful. I would not hesitate to hire Cronin Hardwood Floors again.

From day one John and his team were incredibly responsive. I have never had a contractor that was so good at communication, checking in and explaining next steps. The crew was very professional and craftsman quality. Our house is about 100 years old and our second floor creaked with every step. Now it’s completely silent — it feels like a new house! The quality of work on the refinishing was also beautiful. We have been putting off doing the floors due to the hassle of moving and storing furniture and radiators but the Cronin crew took care of almost everything, moving furniture, disassembly and reassembly, moving radiators. We are so happy with the results...highly recommend!

John and his team were highly responsive (on email, phone, and text) through the entire process. The quote was fair and inline with 3 other providers. Scheduling was easy and straight fwd. John recommended a unique (and gorgeous) color and finish combination which set him apart from other providers. The only reason why I didn't give them straight A's was due to the fact that two small sections needed to be restained/finished due to a minor oversight. John and his team immediately came back to fix the issue w/ only a minimal inconvenience to us. Highly recommended.

They did an excellent job. The floors came out amazingly and when the painter got paint dust on the floors they came back to polish the floors one more time. The repair in the dining room was so excellent that you can no longer detect that there was any damage in the floor.

Brilliantly. They transformed floors that had been marred, scarred, and damaged by previous incompetents, into esthetically-arresting hardwood beauty. I would go to these folks again in a second. I still owe them a case of Guinness, which I promised in sheer gratitude.

We could not be happier. John sent us to his supplier and we looked through a huge variety of woods, which had been our issue with other companies. There was such a wide variety, we were able to find something that worked for our apartment. John was right on schedule with the finished work, and I could not be happier! They were wonderful, and his secretaries are very prompt and professional as well. Highly highly recommended!!!!!!
