The project was not an easy one. The wallpaper has been on the walls and ceilings since the mid 80's. Unfortunately there was no sizing so the paper could not be removed easily. Bruce came to our home on two separate occasions to determine what method would be best to do the job while being cost saving. After discussions with me, he decided that the most efficient way would be to cut out the part that was peeling, tape, spackle, sand, apply a sealer then paint. This is a painstaking procedure since lots of drying time must be added and in some instances Bruce had to re-spackle and sand again. Well, after two weeks of hard and very diligent work the project was completed. It turned out remarkably well. I couldn't believe there was wallpaper underneath the final layer of paint. The walls were smooth with absolutely no hint whatsoever of what was underneath. Bruce and his associate were detailed oriented, worked very carefully and cleaned up everyday before leaving. I couldn't be happier with the end result and plan on calling him back to do additional work for me. He also performed the same procedure in a wallpapered bedroom. The bedroom looks superb! He also removed and disposed the old carpet in that bedroom. Bruce took the Hunter Douglas blinds off and replaced them after the painting was completed in the bedroom. Bruce is also a furniture refinisher, in addition to his other talents. I would not hesitate to call him back. If you have any project that involves carpentry, painting etc., do call him for an estimate - you will not go wrong. A+++

Bruce is a true craftsman. He takes pride in his work and went above and beyond to make sure every detail of each job was done correctly and to my satisfaction. I've had Bruce do a number of jobs at my home and he's done each one with skill and care. I needed Bruce to fix work that another contractor did improperly. Another contractor had worked on my kitchen and left me with jagged drywall showing around my newly framed windows. Bruce created new windowsills and an apron to hide the jagged drywall leaving me with a much more finished look. I also needed Bruce to remove ugly vinyl flooring and replace it with new tile in my laundry room (as well as install beadboard behind the washer/dryer). I'm very happy with the finished product- it looks like a new room. I also turned to Bruce to skim-coat walls in a room that had wallpaper which could not be removed. Bruce sealed in the wallpaper, skim-coated the entire room and then painted it. You would never know there was ugly wallpaper underneath. It looks like a brand new room. Very happy with the finished product. Bruce was very pleasant to deal with, and worked round the clock to meet my deadline.
