It was horrendous. It was scam operation. It was not legit. Update as of 1/13/2023 BEWARE of LIARS! Lost $237000!!! Speedway were hired to move us from NYC due to the Covid pandemic and store our entire household goods while we were away. When we moved back to nyc, to our shock and dismay, more than half of our goods including art/collectibles were simply not delivered!! We did not even have our beds or mattresses to sleep on! We lost a lot of art and family heirlooms, items which cannot be replaced. We filed an insurance claim for $237,000. They had mentioned earlier that there was very little damage -- they LIED!!! They would not return emails re damage. Even though half of our household had disappeared, they kept charging us for the full amount of Storage charges for over 6 months!!! Even whilst moving our goods back, their team was in a huge rush and very sloppy. Speedway constantly lied to us for months. Diego (Owner) and Martin lie and cannot be trusted at all.

a week agoNEW Critical: Professionalism After a positive experience i recommended this company with an opposite turnout. After a large storm damaged their warehouse, most of the boxes containing clothes and supplies were molding upon receipt three months after the incident. In addition antique furniture, bedding, and appliances were also water damaged. There was no contact between Speedway indicating there was any problem until delivery date was set. This was unacceptable. If the company had made contact as soon as the water damage occurred, some items may have been saved. I just hope that this company honors the replacement costs (after the client has to fill out an extraordinary lengthy price verification process). So upset that Speedway went downhill like this. We had a wonderful experience.

Well - but not cheap. No problems at all - movers were professional, worked hard and the foreman was on point directing the work in a very efficient manner. The inventory method (as opposed to "by weight") was good but in spite of a lot of preparation I was still not on point regarding my projection of how many boxes were to be moved. As a result, the price was jacked up to compensate for my inability to accurately project the box count - not that a novice really could do that. The main thing is the men were efficient, professional, worked REALLY hard and my wife and I made sure to provide good tips to all as our thanks for their work. We would hire them again and recommend them to all as well!

They were perfect. They were on time and professional. They were very reliable. The price was very reasonable.

I hired Speedway for my most recent move from NJ to Florida.Martin was an absolute pleasure to speak with and I knew when they guaranteed the price they quoted me on the front end and told me it would not change when they got there that I was dealing with a company that prided themselves on quality, customer satisfaction and operated with true integrity. They where reliable, on time, treated my items like their own and provided clear expectations on the whole process. They made a very stressful move for me stress free!!!! Not only would I hire them again I recommend them to all my friends and family who are considering moving out of the tri-state area. Speedway is the only way to go when hiring a moving company. You won’t be disappointed!

My husband and I moved from PA to South Carolina on 7/27. We have never moved interstate and had many questions and concerns. From our initial contact with Martin Sahoury to the delivery of our furniture the process was honest, efficient, and professional. Martin explained every detail of the pricing, answered every question I had with great patience and truly cared about our satisfaction. The pricing concept of flat rate is so transparent, no questions about weight or square footage. The on line ability to view your inventory and make changes was great as well. There are no hidden costs or fees. Our Pa movers were Diego (who was the supervisor), Quide, Carols and James. They were amazing, it was 90 degrees, they worked so hard with out complaint. They took great care with our furniture, everything was wrapped professionally, they asked questions about individual pieces and were as respectful and pleasant as could be. What amazed me was how patient and nice they were with our 14 year old dog who was always in their way, they literally walked over her and never complained. They made a very difficult day pleasant and at times funny! On the delivery side we had Orent and Justin. The heat and humidity were horrible and they again, worked so hard without complaint. They were professional, kind, and so pleasant. Great care was taken to place our furniture where we wanted it and every box in the proper room. We could not have been more pleased. I highly recommend Speedway Van Lines. Our experience could not have been better, for every horror story you have heard about a moving company, this company is the antithesis.

We were extremely satisfied with our move from Pennsylvania to South Carolina. The team communicated and showed up promptly on time, both for loading and unloading the truck. They treated our belongings like they were expensive antiques. The team was pleasant, efficient but I didn’t feel rushed. My calls were either answered or returned in a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely recommend them with no hesitation. They are a 5 star company.

I would hire speedway in a heart beat. They were so quick and efficent. I called on a friday and on monday movers were in my house. They take their time with packing and breaking things down and are very careful with everything. I would recommend them 10000%

It was a nightmare. Expensive items were damaged or did not arrive at all, and the company, which was paid in full, was highly unresponsive to emails or phone messages. It took WEEKS to get the missing items back. Never again!
