KAMP KANINE ...PLUS A FEW GOOD CATS

I've taken my dog to board at Kamp Kanine at least a half dozen times or more. They are very strict about vaccinations, so check ahead of time about your dog needs. My dog gets to play with the whole group of daycare/boarding dogs throughout the day and then has his own crate to pass out in at night. They do an excellent job at taking care of my dog as well as the things I leave with him (blankets, leashes, harness, toys etc.) I think the price is reasonable for the amount of care my dog gets. I also like that drop off and pick up is 24 hours, that is incredibly convenient. I love this boarding facility and so does my dog!

These guys are great and allow 24 hr drop off and pick up. They do a good job of checking vaccinations prior to camping and allow pups to play all day so they are nice a tired when they come home. Excellent service and fantastic people.

I love love love Kamp Kanine! All of the staff is super friendly and I know they take great care of the pets in their care. When I call to make a reservation, they always say how much they love my Ellie and can't wait to see her again. It's also really convient that you can pick up or drop off at any hour, any day of the week. As it's all but on the way to Newark airport for me, I drop my dog off at 4:30am, and am at the airport with plenty of time to catch a 6am flight.
I'm actually in the process of moving, and one of my biggest regrets is that I will probably have to find another boarding facility :(

I love the fact that they are open 24 hours and I can pick up my puppy on my way home from airport even at 11 pm. They are very happy to see my puppy and provide lots of hugs and play time. My puppy is very active but sleeps after coming home from Kamp. I am using their services every week.

Very well. My dog is very old and I feel very confident leaving him in their care. The staff is very friendly. They are open 24/7 so it is very convenient to drop or pick-up your pet.

I had a behavioral problem with my youngest dog. I own a show dog who would shy away from people. This is not good since he needed to be touched by judges on a regular basis. I tried everything, but nothing was working. Everyone I talked to had a different suggestion as to how to correct the problem. All I heard was that "he would grow out of it". I knew that wasn't necessarily true. I then brought him to Kamp Kanine and the trainer, Mark. Mark first step was to retrained me then the dog. It turned out that I was sending mixed signals to the dog in anticipation of him running away from people. I needed to realize that he would not run and to relax. Within 6 months I had the dog in the ring again AND was winning. I recommend Mark to everyone I meet who are having problems with their pet. This is a different type of training, but it does work.

Brownie (our German Shepherd/Beagle Mix) has been visiting Kamp Kanine for a few months now, and he absolutely loves it! He's learned to know the word 'camp'. So whenever we ask him if he wants to go to camp, he jumps up, barks, and runs for the door! For this particular appointment, we called them about a week prior. As it was the day before Thanksgiving, we wanted him smelling good, but we also needed him out of the house for the day. So we arranged for Brownie to be in daycare for the day, and to also have grooming done. The person we spoke with on the phone put a lot of thought into the logistics of making sure Brownie got clean and had plenty of play time with the other dogs, and she wanted to make sure he wouldn't get re-dirtied. She asked about what time we had planned to pick him up, which wasn't until about 9pm that night, and she scheduled his grooming to happen at 5pm. We loved the thought and curtious mentality that went into that planning, no matter how simple it seemed. That morning, I dropped Brownie off around 8:30. When we get there, he loses all loyalty toward me and just runs for the door to get into the play area! I spent my entire day preparing for Thanksgiving, and even was able to go out to dinner with my grandfather before having to pick Brownie up. When we got home, Brownie went straight to bed out of pure exhaustion, and slept the entire night. One of my favorite qualities of Kamp Kanine is the fact that they always seem to keep track of when your dog poops. I swear they can tell me the exact time he pooped if I ask them. It's silly, but if you are a dog person, you understand how great that is! In short, we love Kamp Kanine!

We and our Westie couldn't be happier. From the moment we walked into their lobby we could tell it as a superior facility. Nice lobby, and no smell! We were allowed to tour and even go back where the dogs play. It too, was bright, clean and smelled good. When we picked Max up, he was happy, clean and playful. We highly recommend Kamp Kanine and will definitely use them again.

The place is wonderful. It is bright and modern and very clean. The kennels are huge with glass fronts and the enormous playroom has areas for all sorts of dogs. The staff are all very caring and friendly - they even have 24 hour staffing for the overnighters. I liked that they gave us a full tour of the whole place right away- no keeping anything secret. Our dog had a great time and came home tired and happy. We highly reccomend Kamp Kanine
