They were an "A" across the board. It was great.

What a truly awful experience, we have already told a number of friends and family to not use Direct Depot Kitchen Wholesalers. Our designer was nice enough but due to appliances a cabinet measurement was incorrect and a kitchen job slated to be 3 weeks lasted 2 months, this is the least of the problem. Jeff, the manager and head of customer service is holding a refund check we were promised due to a less than flattering review on yelp. We have been calling him for at least 6 weeks and he occasionally calls us back, makes promises, and does not keep them. My husband and I have waited 6 weeks for a check and now an additional week after he claimed to put the check in the mail on Friday. Today when I called the receptionist Cabrina, hung up on both my husband and I claiming she doesn't deserve to be screamed at. Neither of us screamed at her. We are disgusted with how this company is handling their error and strongly advise anyone redoing their kitchen to avoid this company at all costs.

Direct Depot did an awesome job for us. We picked them because they came highly recommended by friends of us who ordered from them as well. Melissa designed our new kitchen to perfection. While in their studio we could actually see on a projector screen what she was doing and commenting on it, and correcting her if needed. Melissa also helped us with ordering our appliances with Designer Appliances, and gave us a good price for our cabinets. All deadlines like when the measurements were done in our house, and when the cabinets were delivered, were met. When we had questions about our cabinets, they responded within a day. We also had not enough back molding, and our contractor messed up a decorative arch. No problem for DIrect Depot, they ordered extra back molding and a replacement arch, free of charge! And finally one of our cabinets with lazy suzan (turn table) didn't work out, and we wanted shelves instead. Again no problem, they quoted a good price (this was not according to the design so we paid for this), and the shelves are on their way. We had a very good experience and can highly recommend this place if you want a new kitchen. Our new kitchen looks wonderful and the cabinets are of high quality. We could not be happier. See the pictures! Note the price was for the cabinets ONLY, including hardware though.

I can not say enough great  things about all my dealings with Direct Depot Kitchens in Little Falls, NJ. The kitchen that I got is amazing and much better price than other places that I tired to work with before. There was no pressure tactics like the other places use but I felt like finally somebody is listening and working with me instead of just trying to sell me cabinets and moving on. That is one of reason I have chosen Direct Depot Kitchens . They really cared about my input and my ideas.  
Our designer supported me and my ever changing designs.  He provided guidance that would only come from someone with experience . I never felt rushed or pressured into making a deal on the spot.  They  gave me the space to figure things out and together we made it happen.  The designer provided a house call for measurements and provided prompt call backs and supported both me and my contractor from beginning to the end of the project. 

The service I got at Direct Depot Kitchens was PRICELESS in making my vision of my new kitchen come to life in their design room on a huge TV screen.

I absolutely love my new kitchen! Direct Depot did a great job making sure that everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. I combined a couple smaller rooms to create a very large kitchen and filled it with 32 cabinets, not including the island. The cabinets I wanted were on sale! It was a big order with crown molding and a light rail staggered height cabinets, I even chose two different colors for the perimeter and for the island. I went with Direct Depot because they only work with American made custom cabinetry and I didn?t want to risk working with a small company with little experience. I also liked that their website shows real kitchens, that they designed. Other places I considered, showed really amazing kitchen pictures on their websites, but when I researched online, everyone uses the same pictures!
Everyone I met there was friendly and helpful. It wasn?t a high pressure environment because I definitely took my time figuring out what I wanted. The showroom was beautiful and had more door samples than I?ve ever seen in one place. That was helpful because I didn?t know what color I wanted for my island until I got there. I ended up going with a beautiful Driftwood finish on cherry wood for the island so the wood shows through, and a flat marshmellow cream finish on maple wood for the perimeter.
I was told the cabinets would arrive in 6-8 weeks and they arrived at the end of week seven. It took another 4 weeks for my
contractor to install everything.
I would highly recommend Direct Depot to anyone, I trusted them with my dream kitchen and they really came through! I absolutely
love it!

Bill was very helpful, ,patient,and knowledgeable. The showroom gave us a good idea of what our cabinets would look like, The hardware was included in the price, and there was a great selection! I would definately see Bill before you purchased anywhere else, even to compare prices and cabinets, and his willingness to help you with whatever you need.

I love the cabinets! The contractors I hired also commented on the high quality and craftsmanship of the cabinets. All cabinets arrived on time, in perfect condition, and as expected. I am also pleased that the cabinets were made in the U.S.

The Design Process

Direct Depot includes kitchen design sessions with the purchase of the cabinets.  Bill Hancock is a wizard in the kitchen design software that is used to visualize the layout. Their software is linked to the store's database, which contains all of the cabinet measurements from their vendors, allowing Bill to show many options in the layout.  Direct Depot uses a wall projector, enabling a dynamic interactive experience during the design process; this is much more comfortable than looking at a laptop screen or computer desk monitor.  During the design, he was able to show us many of the cabinet/drawer options in the showroom, which made it easy to make selections.  Designing is the most important step, and Bill was very patient in making revisions and offering valuable suggestions. Bill used our architect's drawings to enter precise measurements, which he confirmed with an onsite visit before finalizing the order.  Just based on their software and design approach, I would recommend Bill and Direct Depot over any other store!  

Cabinets and Pricing

Bill's honest recommendations about the cabinets, stain, and finishing details, allowed us to work within our budget.  We went with Starmark, which offers solid wood construction at an affordable price point.  I found Direct Depot's pricing to be excellent, especially given the level of attention that we received from Bill during the design process. Bill explained the cost of each type of cabinet and finish, and helped us in our selection.  I would not have found better value, product selection, or service at Ikea, Home Depot, Lowes, or online retailers.

Ordering and Delivery

Our cabinets arrived several weeks earlier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise.  There were no issues with the delivery, and we had a contractor do the installation.  The precision in Bill's measurements ensured a smooth installation for us.  I was quite impressed that he made an onsite visit to verify all measurements with our contractor before finalizing the order.

Overall Experience

I have not worked with anyone as professional or as knowledgeable as Bill Hancock in my years of doing home renovations, and I can vouch that you will not find anyone as easy-going.  I've used Lowes and Home Depot in the past, and I can tell you that the difference is night and day, in terms of design service and quality of cabinets.  Even if you are a do-it-yourself type, I would recommend working with Bill, given his expert skills with the design software.  Direct Depot offers a great value and their cabinet showroom is impressive.  I am very happy with my experience and recommend Bill Hancock and Direct Depot without any reservations.

I worked with Bill Hancock who designed the kitchen remodel and picked out first rate materials. Bill went far above and beyond the call of duty to try to keep our contractor "honest".  This was a challenge since the contractor became disinterested in the project once we refused to purchase cheaply constructed cabinets "made in China" that were poorly rated by several professional sites.  Bill made several trips to the house to ensure a proper install even after the install was botched twice by the contractor and Bill found a very reliable installer to reinstall a crucial cornerstone piece (Lucky Three, Little Falls).  Bill displayed every feature of professionalism and was very thoughtful in his design for my sister who is handicapped.  In the business of home improvement, Bill is quite rare.  The occasions that I dealt w/ Bill Broder the manager for ordering (reordering parts botched by the contractor) he also was very pleasant to deal with and was professional.

Overall-you can't go wrong by hiring this crew.  Also have Lucky Three do the install.  That will make your experience pleasant not painful as in my case.

Great, The designer Bill Hancock was really good.  He designed our kitchen literally while we sat in his office, it almost flew by too quickly.  He's obviously an expert at it, and saved our kitchen several headaches, while giving us a very high quality kitchen at an excellent price.  (Hint - the first price he shows you isn't the one you'll pay).  He did miss in a couple areas (no one is perfect), which we adjusted onsite, due to unusual requests, but overall he did an excellent job.  Follow up was a little slow in today's internet age, but was satisfactory (usually within a week with any questions).
 

We researched the various cabinet manufacturers that were recommended on the Internet for quality, costs and product guarantees and decided on StarMark, Melissa?s recommendation.  Each bathroom was a separate project since each of their requirements were different.  The master was a ?spa? feeling.  The main more muscular and the powder room classic for guests.  Mellissa was right on target with helping us select wood types, colors, knobs, medicine cabinets and counter tops.  She also gave suggestions on the interior set up of cabinets (e.g. roll out draws, etc.)

Melissa?s talent in interior design, organization skills and patience are very much appreciated.   After using the bathrooms for five months we would not change anything.  Delivery was clearly explained, smooth and timely.  Any missing pieces or additional pieces needed were handled quickly. 

We also purchased our counter tops from their supplier.  Service and product were excellent.

Melissa Garrabrant was our designer.  She was extremely patient and a pleasure to work with.  She would stay late to accomodate my schedule.  She would make changes and revisions to the plans without hesitation.  She never showed any signs of frustration with me as I made numerous changes and requests.  She worked very hard to get me my dream kitchen for my stated budget.
My kitchen is amazing.  I am so thrilled with the results.  I am amazed not only by it beauty but also by its functionality.  The flow in my kitchen is spot on.   Everything is in the perfect spot!  A perfectly beautiful and functional kitchen! 
My experience with Direct Depot Kitchens was really amazing.  They are top notch.  The options available are unbelievable.  Endless door styles and color options.  Your head would spin if the designers were not there to guide you.  Melissa listened to my ideas and worked through all the options very patiently with me until we figured out the perfect design for me.  
The girls at the reception area are so welcoming.  Bill Broder in customer service was so helpful to me. If I had a problem or question he was so quick to repsond.  No questions asked. 
Such an amazing group who all seem to work together to get the job done right.

Bill was professionally courteous and extremely capable in executing the project and meeting my family's needs. If the old saying "measure twice, cut once" has any truth, then Bill measured at least six times -- from the kitchen studs to the final white box -- to make sure that every inch of our cabinets fit precisely into their prescribed space. Prior to purchase, Bill personally showed what our kitchen would look like in a CAD/CAM display and worked with my sister, a professional interior designer, to determine what cabinets would go where and why. He suggested cabinet knobs and drawer attachments as well as finishing touches such as crown molding. The price was extremely reasonable for the quality. When the cabinets were delivered, they fit perfectly. As a result, my family and I have a beautiful new kitchen and a tremendous upgrade in terms of looks and functionality. Starmark cabinets are beautiful to behold and have high grade quality, with self closing drawers and seamless pullout cabinet doors for everything from stainless steel flatware to major pots and pans. We also have corner cabinets that have lazy Susan spin shelves for easy access to containers as well as condiments.I have worked in professional kitchens in restuarants and cook almost every night for my family. The difference between what I had pre-renovation and what I have now is night and day. All of our guests have marveled at the transformation. I heartily endorse Direct Depot in genera and Bill Hancock in particular.
I also worked with Stephen Anger in the same Direct Depot store front to select granite countertops and white tile backsplashes. Again, the service was execellent and the product was high quality.
I unequivocally endorse Direct Depot for kitchen cabinets and countertops.

It went fine, but right now I have too many other priorities.

I just couldn't resist the opportunity to write about our
experience with Direct Depot Kitchens. From our first visit to their showroom
to our first family meal in our beautiful new kitchen - everything was
fantastic! They are the consummate professionals. 
My husband and I didn't know what to expect when
we arrived for our first appointment. But once we sat down with Moustafa Metwally a very talented
designers and walked around their beautiful showroom, we felt comfortable and
relaxed. They helped us layout the perfect floor plan and their 3D design
allowed us to see exactly what our new kitchen would look like. But it didn't
stop their...we got our cabinets, tile, sink (for free) and counter tops all in
one appointment. We even tried to take advantage of their "lowest price
guaranteed or you kitchen is free program" but there is no way anyone
iff AVEcould match their price, quality or service. 
My husband and I liked them so much, they
remodeled our entire house! 
We are so very pleased with all of the work that
they have done for us. Our home has their creative ideas and talent on display
in so many areas. We feel so fortunate that we were able to work with them

I learned about Direct Depot through Angie's List so thought it was fitting to leave a review.  I thought the reviews i read initially were too good to be true but my experience with them was really great.  Our project was a full kitchen renovation of a fairly large kitchen. We had several kitchen designs done and estimates of the cost of the cabinetry.  We had design and estimates done with Direct Depot, Beckerle Lumber, Home Depot, Lowes, and a few others.  Direct Depot was the best by far in terms of professionalism, cost and quality of the design. 
Our kitchen designer- Alan Reichenthal was absolutely fantastic.  After our initial unscheduled meeting (we were just walking around the showroom when we met him) he spent significant time getting to know us.  He understood our vision quickly and was able to really help us design a kitchen that would meet our needs.  We did not get this same sense of confidence in any of the other designers and companies we met with. We ended up meeting with Alan about three times to finalize our kitchen design.  
We compared the cost of cabinets that we believed were comparable (if you're shopping for cabinets you'll realize very quickly that there are more companies than you can imagine and you're really not sure about the quality of what's being sold). The cost came in between $3,000- $5,000 less than other estimates even from Home Depot and Lowes. 
Once we decided on Direct Depot, we worked with Alan to finalize the kitchen design and he was great in terms of not overselling unnecessary features.  He also offered us advice on color selection of the tiles and granite even though we weren't necessarily purchasing these things through Direct Depot.  We ended up using their granite supply company (BCG granite who did an excellent job), but did not use their kitchen cabinet installers.  
We met their contractors who seemed great and knowledgeable but we did not live in NJ, so there would have been some licensing concerns with some of the contractors. 
We were told the cabinets would take up to 8 weeks for delivery, but they were ready much earlier (4-6 weeks).  We had no problems with the delivery process. Our contractor inspected them at the time of delivery and was impressed with the quality of the cabinets. The cabinets are from Starmark and are really of high quality.   Our contractor called Alan several times during the installation process to clarify aspects of the design and Alan was very responsive each time.  We had a small issue with two cabinet doors (out of the 32 cabinet doors purchased).  We called Direct Depot and had replacement doors within 2 weeks. 
We are extremely happy with our renovated kitchen, the cabinets are great.  Now having lived in our new kitchen for a few weeks, we are increasingly happy with the smart design.  I would absolutely recommend their services.
