JEFF CARUSO

This is the second job Jeff has performed for us as a result of super-storm sandy.   During the extreme cold and windy January of  2015 at the Jersey shore, the water meter under our house froze and had to be replaced twice. The house is built on pilings with a crawl space below the first floor.  In order to further insulate the area and prevent wind infiltration Jeff added a second layer of painted textured cement board to the lower portion and extended the new board below the existing grade.  Additionally he rebuilt/replaced the existing access door to the crawl space with an airtight more secure door.  The project was labor intensive as the new and existing layers of cement board had to be pre- drilled for each stainless nail and each  hammered in by hand and not a nail gun.  He also re-framed and replaced an exterior door leading to the gas boiler and hot water heater in an area subject to wind with a solid door with custom vents to allow proper combustion.  All work was performed according to both plan and time frame. The results were excellent.
