We had a subfloor removed because of salt water contamination from the Sandy storm....to have a new subfloor put in. Only to find out from the installer the new subfloor floated several blocks down the street due to high tide....before being installed in our home. We confronted the business owner, and he did say it floated... However, the floor was fine because he took the "good pieces" out. The flooring he put down is green and obviously dirty....especially compared to the new subfloor put down. We already paid for this service (like idiots) and asked The business owner to take the contaminated floor out and make it right. The response was "this floor is fine, it's from another subfloor job" (omitting its not even new wood from the lumber yard)..... Now we have to pay and have the floor removed and reinstalled. We were going to keep it in and treat it with a bleach spray....but, we found out it wasn't even glued down to begin with.
