X-RAY HOME INSPECTION INC

Home inspection performed on 5/30/12.  Report received 6/5/12 did not include Radon testing results.  After numerous phone calls and e-mails from 6/5/12 to 6/18/12, Roland, the owner, told us over the phone that the Radon reading was .02pCi/L which was "great".  He told us that he would mail us the Radon report.  We felt confident, and closed on the house on 6/19/12.  After again numerous phone calls and e-mails we never received the Radon report.  He told us on 8/22/12, that he wasn't happy with the lab he was using, and had concerns about the results.  He also said that he had been having problems in his office with missing files and money.  And that he would address the issues with Chloe, his receptionist.  He told us that he would do another test with no additional cost to us, and that we would get the results of "both tests".  We received the results of the second test, and the reading was 1.6pCi/L.  We never received the first test results from him. The last time I called and spoke to Chloe, which was 8/31/12, she told me that Roland would return my call.  We're still waiting for him to call.  We can't even begin to tell all of your subscribers how many times we were lied to by both Roland and his receiptionist Chloe.  Needless to say we didn't have an ounce of confidence in either the first or the second results we received, so we felt we were obligated to spend more money to have other Radon testing performed in our home by a more reputable person.  X-Ray Home Inspection along with Roland Lucas and Chloe in particular, are not even the slightest bit professional, responsive, reliable, and certainly not the least bit honest.  Their shady practices gave us no faith in the second test they performed.  As I'm sure you are well aware of, radon is a serious, cancer causing, gas and we felt we needed to make the Department of Consumer Affairs, as well as Angie's List aware of the inexcusable, dishonest and less than professional practices of X-Ray Home Inspection in order to protect other consumers.  Thank you for your time.

Due to incompetence and complicity with realtor, has cost us an additional $16000 on purchase of home.  Glossed over items and non disclosure of another major one.  Reimbursed ud $4000 (which can be seen as an admission of guilt) but has cost us a lot more.  Would not have purchased current home, and therefore, not sold former home if he did his job with honesty, integrity, and competence. Report filed with BBB.
