We only got 3 ft 7 inches instead of 4 feet and so the original plans had to be modified and resubmitted to the city to pass the final inspections.
Project that was suppose to be done in 24 working days lasted through Sept, October, November and ended on December 18th. So after 3.5 months and spending almost 50,000/- we still had unfinished work and cheap quality work. All the verbal agreements like back splash, floor finishing etc were not done. Didn't even seal the space between countertop and wall.!!! He messed up our existing kitchen marble floor with deep scratches and carpet on stairs as he did not protect them during construction. Ended up costing 1000/- trying to fix these. Still some scratches are so deep can't be fixed even by professionals. He trashed our backyard as he piled up all the demolition garbage on our lawn for weeks and then months (he kept saying it is going to be picked up....???). It's going to cost us additional money to fix that lawn...
Throughout the project, there were lots of disagreements....as lot of items and changes that were verbally agreed upon initially (we had trusted him and so did not insist on written agreement) but he did not provide them and then started adding extra charges for these items.
If you are looking for professional construction people, look for someone else. Small handyman projects might be fine, but do not trust him with bigger construction projects.
We had countless sleepless nights and stress which took our lives away for these 3 + months. I just couldn't believe how unprofessional and greedy people can get!
